We walked past Boneyard Bistro in Sherman Oaks while choosing a lunch venue and returned after considering several alternatives. I’m pleased we settled back at “BB”. Each of us selected a different sandwich and all three were delighted with our choice. Mine was the brisket grilled cheese, sans grilled onions. That enormous and tasty sandwich was served with a bowl of french fries. Three of us walked away well satisfied. The only shortcoming was no unsweetened ice tea.
This 2-star review is for their to-go service. The food is amazing and when it’s hot, beyond delicious. It’s Pricey but worth it— I expect to pay more for good BBQ so I’m ok with that. But the to go at store or through third party apps — It’s terrible. Orders come regularly incomplete, special instructions not followed (like hold the coleslaw) and food came cold about 50 percent of the time regardless of the third party app we used. And calling to speak to the hostess, to-go person or manager rarely gets an apology— only excuses. Such a bummer. We used to order a couple times a month pretty regularly— sometimes once a week, but are tired of partial food orders and poor service.

My husband and I absolutely love the Boneyard Bistro! Their entrees go way beyond ordinary! BBQ was phenomenal as were the beans/coleslaw. Philly cheesesteak and burgers were fabulous as well.
Staff were great -- friendly, courteous and fun. We will be back next time we're in LA!

What the heck happened? I write reviews when I feel that the place has potential. I came here four years ago and was blown away. Tonight I went and was disappointed. What's happening in the kitchen???? Or the ingredients? Service was fantastic and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu but the food was terrible. My partner and I ordered a few things and they were all chewy, overcooked, lack luster, and way overpriced!!! We have no problem spending extra money for some extra goodness but tonight we were ripped off!!! My wings were so skinny!!!! Management, please pick it up again. We drove from Glendale for nothing!!!!! I won't be coming back!!!!!

I’m being generous with three stars here simply because we’ve been taken advantage of. I should have given them 1 star. We ordered 3 batch cocktails which each bottle is suppose to serve 4 people. The cost of this single bottle (it’s the size of an individual juice bottle) is $45. This is exactly how they’re filled just over 3/4 full. See picture attached. Look I understand that the restaurant industry is hurting. I’ve always been an over-tipper at 25% or more, happy to pay extra for employees to have healthcare, ordered at a local restaurants every day during the lockdown to support them. I won’t patronize this restaurant again. I’m a fair person and I expect to be treated fairly when I patronize a restaurant. The 3 bottles we purchased for nearly $150 comes out to $34 a drink. Never again.

Not the best bbq I've ever had but pretty decent. Decor is quite nice, beer was good. Best bbq BTW is in Atlanta or Kansas City, MO

We were expecting to get enough food for at least 2-3 people for $87 without tip and this is what we got. Extremely disappointed. Food was ALL cold. I could eat this by myself and this was supposed to be our night of good food. This is a rip off and we are telling everyone we know not to come here. Rip. Off.

Just be ready to pay some high prices for some less than quality food. My friends and I came here last night to celebrate some birthdays. We made reservation ahead of time and parked in the Starbuck parking lot in the back since it was open. If that's not available then it will be street parking. When we checked in we got seated right away. It looked like there was only 1 waiter working at the restaurant. We started off with the Devil Eggs and that was probably my favorite dish from there. When I saw the menu, I knew I wanted the Santa Maria Tri Tip but when it came time to order I was told it would take at least an hour so I had to choose something else. So I settle for the Kobe Mac when our waiter said just think McDonald's Big Mac but better. So I got that and when I saw how they package it, it was already a bummer. The burger was not good at all and the fries had no flavor. McDonald's Big Mac would've been better and way cheaper. My friends got the OMG Burger, California Special Burger, Fish Tacos and All 3 Ribs. They asked for their burger Medium and it came out Well Done instead. Since there was only 1 waiter working, it did take a while for good and refill.

Nice atmosphere, fast service, but the food quality was lacking. The brisket looked more like tri-tip and the beef ribs were pretty dried out. On the plus side, the Frito pie was pretty good. (5/6/21)
