Greeted coming in the door, explained the menu and was told where to order. (1st timer). Friendly staff and clean. Food was good with a very reasonable price
Grabbed a couple of burgers that were both really enjoyable. My partner had the junior and I had bacon cheese. The junior came with a nice size order of fries and we added an order of onion rings. Both were tasty. My partner had a beer on tap that came in a very nicely frosted 20oz stemmed glass. She thoroughly enjoyed it. She rarely finds somewhere that chills their glasses enough. Prices were very reasonable. Ambiance was unpretentious with a chill vibe. Staff was friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend Grumps if you're looking for a good burger while in Abilene.

It's a good burger. Top 5 in Abilene, and not a chain which is such a bonus. Maybe a bit heavy with the salt in the burger, but that's easily a personal preference.
Staff very pleasant. It's on the N side, so some of the people in the parking lot kinda shady.
Fries were good. Everything seems fresh. Would go there again if the kids ask for burgers out.

Great service, nice big frosty beer glasses, above-average burger

Their hamburgers very large. If you have a big appetite they're perfect or share. It would be great if a smaller burger in each selection could be offered. Their homemade chips are crispy!

Best burger I’ve had in Abilene ! The fries were spectacular! Crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. My friend has the homemade chips. Delicious! We can’t wait to come back !!

Wow this is some good food. I had the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. Came out fast and was fresh and hot. The taste was excellent. This is definitely the burger place to go.

What really ruined this visit was the staff. You walk in and there is a counter. No directions as to where you are supposed to go or do. After waiting for a bit, we finally saw a person step out of the kitchen in which we asked what do we do - stand here or seat ourselves. She told us to go to the register if we wanted food. Umm, okay. We went to the register where we had an awful person. She was like "You gonna order?" Rude. We ordered and before I could mention drinks she replied "you gonna get a drink or go without." She handed a receipt and I asked about seating because even that wasn't offered. After that experience, we sat down. There was a huge empty metal bucket on our table. No idea until later for what that was for. We didn't see anyone until they brought out our food. They dropped it and left. Eventually, we watched a waitress speak to the elderly people next to us and ask if they wanted peanuts. Ah, that is what the empty bucket is for. The food was okay. It was hot but it was nothing to really note about. We listened as the other customers in the room with us mentioned quite loudly about how nasty the margaritas were. "I can't even finish it because it was so bad. Do not order. Waste of money." I can't speak to that because we didn't order anything like that. While we ate, we watched a long line form at the front where we got held up because, yet again, there is not direction on what to do. The line was outside until finally someone appeared from the back to tell them what to do. I don't recommend. The experience wasn't worth the price.

Food was wonderful! Service was even better! We will be back! If you have not been then give this place a try!
He had the Bacon cheese burger on the jalapeño bun with a side of onion rings. I had the BLT w/homemade chips! Everything was great!
