2/20/2022: I ordered the #3 with fries, and at the time of my visit they were out of chicken, steakfingers, twister fries, onion rings etc. The lobby is in horrible shape, everything was dirty with trash on the ground. The soda machine was not in operable condition, as the sodas carbonation was off in the sodas I selected. I also noticed there was only one cup size available and there was no lid readily available for that cup size. The ice cream display at the front counter displayed extremely melted product, and it didn't look edible or ready to be served.
The food took around 40 minutes to come out, and the employee gave our food to another table, and the customer at that table had to ask us if that was our food. The burger itself had good flavor but the fries were cold and hard, no flavor or seasoning at all.
Overall todays experience at Heff's Burgers was unacceptable and truly a waste of money. I would think twice about choosing Heff's burgers as a option to eat.

I was told you only get one special sauce with your order. Even though I ordered three burgers and tots. I was made to pay for sauce that is sitting on the table because it’s a to go order. Doesn’t make sense and when I made a comment I was treated very rudely. I will never visit the heffs on lake ever again

On July 20th 2022, they wouldn't let me use the iBuyAbilene app coupon and they had run completely out of all the sodas. The tables and the floor where dirty. I should have gone to another restaurant. I guess the quality of Heff's on Hwy 351 has gone downhill. Don't waste your time and money.

I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger with NO ONION and here I am picking onion off again. This is the third time this has happened and I’m no “Karen” I’m not looking for anything free. I just want to eat here without every order being wrong in more than one way. (Take the twister fries off the menu if the machine is down for months at a time) also no the burger isn’t upside down it’s super flat for some reason like someone mashed it down. They are normally nice full burgers.

Waited 45 minutes for burnt fries, cold burger, no avocado as ordered. Two cars in parking lot. Car behind me left after 30 minutes. Read other reviews, it's a love, hate relation ship here. Guess it depends on the manager on duty.

I thought I'd try this best burger in Texas. I was pleasantly surprised. Very good burgers. A lot bigger than expected, juicy full of flavor. Sourdough is actually a little sweet than sour so don't expect that sourdough bite, but still get good. Come with a appetite. Sides are average on flavour. Their claim is burgers. Stick with them.

This place is has a charming aesthetic and lots of great food options. I would have given it more stars, but the dining room was not clean. It is in sore need of a good deep clean. The staff was very friendly and the food tasted great. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of.

It was bad enough that they messed up an entire order, these were the “onion rings” they gave us. Our tater tots were also burnt to a crisp and the burgers came dry and missing every single topping they were supposed to have on them. It also took nearly half an hour for our food to be brought out, despite being one of two tables in the restaurant. Never again.

A+ burgers and A+ service! We had a wagon and a bucket, and they were phenomenal, and went well with the onion rings and twister fries, which are like homemade almost-chips.
We wanted to try the ice cream and got a couple scoops, one Oreo and one chocolate. I'm not exaggerating in the least to say that was the best chocolate ice cream I've ever tasted. They make it next door at the 2 Profs icecream shop, and it's amazing. DO NOT FORGET THE ICE CREAM. Leave room, you can thank me later.
