Marcus was amazing. Even though the restaurant was busy we never felt left alone. Food came out within minutes, oysters were fresh and the manager was also great as well. Will most definitely be my go to place for kicking off the weekend
Great place! There's a waitress we see every time, I need to catch her name. Short blonde hair, super sweet and very attentive and quick. Go see her!

Normally when I come here. My food is always on point but this time it wasn’t. The gumbo was watery, the fried fish was slimy. The oysters was on point, nice a huge. The service was great but the food wasn't but I will give them a try again....

It’s rare that a restaurant earns one star. Even the worst establishments usually have some redeeming qualities. Either a restaurant has to poison me OR strike out on food quality, portion size, service and price to earn that distinction.
The appetizer consisted of six medium size shrimp tossed on a plate with a little container of cocktail sauce straight from the bottle. The shrimp were served shelled and tasted like the had been in the walk-in cooler for one day too long. There was no hint of any spices and a lemon wedge was absent.
The fish dinner was delivered 30 minutes later. The server had warned me that, since it was broiled. It might be on the small size. There were three fragments of Sysco Wholesale’s finest frozen fish, each one about the size of silver dollar. Anything this small is almost impossible to cook right and these came out overcooked and dried out. Apparently, the restaurant is very generous with the batter if you order the fish fried.
The coleslaw was drenched in a vinaigrette dressing—not the creamy sauce that is customary in the south. The French fries were Sysco Wholesale’s finest crinkly cut fries from the 25 lb bag.
I did complain about the fish and coleslaw to the manager. He mumbled something about special recipes and inflation, rolled his eyes, and resumed slouching in his chair. I paid the $50 bill for two people and left disappointed and hungry.

To finish our Midwest business and vacation trip we had our last meal at Captain Benny's before heading back to Atlanta. I've never like gumbo in any form or fashion but I love their Land lovers gumbo. We ate our Gumbo before I took a photo. My husband had raw oysters and we shared a seafood platter. THe staff were five star professionals with great personalities. Don't forget an ice Cold IPA beer served in a frozen mug.

Super busy and popular. I've been wanting to try this place forever. So worth it! Great service and they are just down to eat and real.

I would NOT recommend this place.. They are very high priced and the food just isn't worth the price they charge. They charge $25.99 for a lb of hot and spicy shrimp but there is nothing hot and spicy about them. They were nice size shrimp but there was no flavor. The jalapeno boudain balls was the best thing we had. There was a long wait to order and even a longer wait for our food. We were there over and hour and a half and NEVER got a refill or even asked if we wanted a refill.
We went here for a family lunch but was disappointed from start to finish.

Captain Benny's is an American treat. Fresh seafood fried or broiled to perfection. I started my dinner with seafood gumbo. What a wonderful choice, it's packed with seafood. The Cajun flavor left me wanting more. I had fried tilapia as my main course. It was rolled in cornmeal and fried just enough. I couldn't eat everything on my plate, but I surely ate all the fish. A lot seafood for the money.

The Food was amazing. I enjoyed every moment. The waiter was awesome as well. I had the boiled seafood platter and my girl had the fried seafood platter with fries. This is a good spot to enjoy some good southern seafood.

Food was good but not what it’s worth. Be ready to pay for good meal. I guess prices are high due to being by reliant stadium. I was surprised to see the total of my check at the end. It was higher then expected but it was rung up right. The meals add up in the end. I don’t see myself coming back. I rather a hole in the wall restaurant for good food and good prices.
