I went with my son and we sat outside. Their service was really good and very nice atmosphere. They had daily specials menu, so we tried the fish and chips for that day. From the photo, I thought it was going be like an appetizer. But, when it came out I was really surprised by the serving size of the fish, which was hot, fresh, and delicious. I also ordered the shrimp and grits, but they were not to my liking.
Our server was amazing and very attentive, he didn't miss a beat. The food was unparalleled and truly delectable. The portion sizes were more than generous for the price point and the interior atmosphere was romantic without being stuffy or over crowded. Below you will find photos for the meatloaf, chicken fried stake, tuna poke and the wedge salad all of which were splendid.

Awesome meal for Father's Day. The Chicken Fried Steak was the real deal. Crab cakes were amazing. Ribs were good but not something we would order second time. Wife lived the grilled fish. Kid loved the cheeseburger egg rolls.
Nice menu all the way around including brunch. Live music in the bar area but it was not as loud in main dining room.
Great service.

Had the steak protein bowl. Had two quibbles with it. (1) the bowl was very inconvenient shaped container to access the steak pieces and cut them. I had to hold the fork and knife at an awkward angle to be able to cut pieces. But more importantly (2) the bowl was very lacking in taste and flavor. The ingredients - steak, red beans, quinoa, spinach etc - just didn't go together. It also seemed that they forgot to add the dressing or it was too mild to be detected. Don't think I'll be going back there, and, if I do, definitely won't be going for a dish like this again.

This was my first time going to the Federal and I must say I enjoyed myself. The food was great, it seemed as though it was inspired by different cultures not only American. The restaurant was clean and in order, I loved the aesthetic it’s like a 1900s mid century vibe. I will be back to try the hamburger

Not a bad experience… food was pretty good, cocktails were better. Ashley put on a good show making us an old fashioned. Took care of my buddy on his bday with a bourbon glazed bread pudding.

The place to go when craving for French toast. Its crème brûlée french toast is crispy on the top layer and soft in the inside. Modern interior, good crowds and vibes. Tips: Valet is complimentary and necessity for this spot. Factor in parking time as there is always a queue for valet service during peak hours.

We had a great experience! Nice American style food and drinks! We started out with the calamari and the bone marrow, both excellent. For our mains we got a couple of different items but the highlights were the steak and Mac Cheese! We finished off the butter cake and chocolate cookie. Definitely looking to coming back and trying more things!

Came on a Sunday night and it was almost empty. There was a couple of families with their kids. The menu is extensive. The drinks were good. We loved the calamari done asian style with the sweet chili sauce. I enjoyed my shortribs. My friend ordered the redfish. We enjoyed the food. Benny our server was very friendly. He even gave us a bread pudding.

I went for my daughter's birthday and we sat outside. My daughter is one of those people that likes to celebrate her birthday with friends and family, but no fanfare. While we were ordering, my wife said, "Just get whatever you want honey, it's your birthday." The waiter, Benny, says "Oh, it's your birthday? Well, Happy Birthday!" After we had finished our meal, Benny brought out a nice little dessert with a sparkling candle...what an awesome thing to do. Thanks Benny!
Okay, here we go....the parking is either valet or street parking (which isn't much), but it's Rice Military/Heights and I knew this coming in, so no biggie. We sat outside and although it was a little chilly, the restaurant had these space heater towers which made it feel nice and cozy. Benny was our waiter and he was quiet but pleasant. There were six of us, so I don't remember all of the entrees that were ordered, but being that I'm on day 13 of a pretty successful Keto diet and didn't want to wreck it with a bunch of carbs, I stuck to the salad menu and let me tell you...there's this dinner salad called the Cheeseburger Bowl that was it! No carbs, but plenty of food and flavor. I highly recommend it!
All in all, we had a fantastic night out with our daughter on her birthday. The food was great. The service was great and I have no complaints, but to be honest...even if everything else was awful, Benny's act of kindness was above and beyond and I am very thankful for that!
