Impero Italiano Reviews

You can NOT get a cooler more Italian centric place to dine. These folks are very proud of their having moved from Italy to serve their great food to the good folks of Houston. While the service is definitely not the fastest or anywhere near close, for these hand crafted meals I was not upset in the least. These guys are constantly hustling. They really aim to please. It was the best dining experience I have had all year, and that says a LOT! The food is absolutely top notch. They even catered to my son-in-law's food allergies. I can't wait to visit Houston again so I can go back.

What a wonderful escape! It felt like we were in Italy! The pizza, lasagna, salad, and desserts were delicious! Definitely come and enjoy - we will be back!

It does not get anymore authentic for Italian food than here.
Service was great and it feels like you are walking into someone’s home in Italy.

I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious.

The prices are fair for home cooking. If you want cheap Italian try domino’s. This is authentic.
Can wait to try their pizza

I am going to say this right from the start, don't go here if you're in a hurry.

With that being said, everything I ate was absolutely delicious! Without a doubt the best calamari I've eaten anywhere. Amazing food all around! I definitely recommend trying this place out.

Family style restaurant owned and served by Neapolitans.
According to my friend who’s Italian, it feels like eating dinner in Italy for sure.
Highly recommend if you are seeking authentic Italian food.

One of my favorite authentic Italian restaurant in Houston. Their pasta and pizza is some of the best I had and very comparable to what you get in Italy. My favorite the the Impero 2 pasta. Must try!

It was our first experience and we had some positive point like the Really original decoration. You are going back in the Italy of the 60th, 70th…look like a vintage Italian museum. The service is excellent and the owner is realer customer oriented. Large choice of Italian dishes (Pasta, Pizza…).
We took a pasta seafood and pasta carbonara…it was fine.
I just honestly believe that everything is overpriced for what you are eating.

Everything we ordered was so amazing. Mozzarella sticks are the best I've ever had. Decor is super cute and authentic. Service is slow but the food is made to order and worth it.

They were super busy Sunday afternoon, so much so we couldn't sit outside. They had one server and two cooks working, not judging because I know times are hard now due to the shortage in restaurants labor. We decided to stay and just eat inside and that was a great decision. The food was excellent. We had a pesto pasta dish and a Margherita pizza. The pasta was amazing and the pizza was good. The dough was a little overcooked, like the fire was too high in the oven. It was still pretty good. The restaurant is very cute and authentic, lots of Italian decor everywhere. I am giving them 5 stars because they were super nice and the food was great! I do plan to go back and try other dishes, bet they'd be just as good.
