Quality went downhill. Meat, dumplings, chicken were cold. Most of the hot trays were room temperature. Sushi station was empty and no signs of making more. Crab legs were thin, no meat. This place used to be packed on Fridays but this time just 3-4 tables. Red flag. I wont come back. For 28$ per person, you'd expect better quality.

The food is straightforward and good, they have a variety from seafood to cuisines and desserts, such as teriyaki chicken, stir fry, shrimp fried rice, fried calamari, shrimp and a wide variety of sushi to choose from. They also have green tea ice cream????Overall it was a great first time dine in, just a bit pricey compared to other buffets(4 adults-$137 w/tax)

I’ve eaten here several times and I have to say that their food used to be better. Especially the seafood. I think they changed where or what type of oysters they buy because the are not nearly as sweet as they used to by. The snow crab also isn’t as good, plus I feel like it’s much saltier than it needs to be. I do like the sushi rolls and sashimi they serve though. The staff is usually very friendly and fast.

So we arrived right we dinner service started and most the food looked great but when it came to eating it, there was definitely some disappointment. the chicken that they used seem pretty low quality, I mean like school cafeteria quality(which is generally not good fyi) Also their I think it was baked salmon(or something I kinda forgot) had some pretty great seasoning but did taste a little old and their crab legs were pretty awful.I think it was snow crab legs and they are the tiniest legs with like no meat and tasted kinda bad... Like super low quality and yes it's a buffet but it's like 29 dollars per person for dinner (before tax and tips). Some of their food was good and I did enjoy but there was definitely a lack on quality of the ingredients. Won't be going back again though.

I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews about the facility or food. I literally just left & I must have eaten my weight in cold and hot food. All was fresh and delicious, even the brownies. I felt so greedy I told my server I promised not to eat them out of house & home as I went back perhaps 4 times coming back with full plates & I KNOW I was being judged… I mean what small woman can eat THAT much food! MEEEE!
Everyone was pleasant & so was the atmosphere. The restroom was clean too.. even the water good! 10/10!!!

I think this came out to be around 20 dollars for a lunch buffet, which was quite a deal for the food. The sushi and nigiri are very tasty and naturally freshly made. The rice was a little on the harder side for me though did not significantly detract from the dining experience. I particularly enjoyed this peppered salmon nigiri (pictured at 10 o'clock) and do wish there was eel available as well.

I admittedly did not try any of the non seafood dishes apart from the red bean dessert soup.

Service was great and everybody was polite.

How on earth do you run a buffet, but more than half of your trays are empty?? Several people were frustrated today because of this, myself included. Also, the sushi bar had 6 empty trays. Literally 2 rolls left, and some tuna nigiri. That was IT. Sad. 18 bucks for lunch, and the scraps that were left were obviously old, tough, chewy, and not fresh at all. Honestly, the new e-star 1/4 of a mile away puts this place to shame.. and that's pretty sad to say that. Step it up, Kirin, or I suspect you won't be around much longer. I'll never eat here again.

Came over the lunch hour so it was about $16 per person. Delicious sushi! Standby the 5 star experience.

Fantastic Japanese Buffet. Excellent sushi. Freshly made rolls. Fresh seafood. Nicely sized fish on smaller rice than typical buffets. They haven't skimped on quality. Lunch is about $14 and dinner is $25. Over only been the during lunch. Will be back. Been there twice in one week.

Update as of 1/29/2021: the precautions of social distancing (booths and tables are left empty to increase space between patrons) are adhered and disposable plastic gloves provided at the buffet lines. The prices for the buffet remained the same. Note: my 5 star is based on the lunch buffet as I’ve not eaten there in the evening.

Place was not too crowded for a Saturday lunch. Gloves were present at the buffet. Food turnover was very good. The kitchen and sushi bar were very busy bringing food out. Ice tea was excellent.

Food itself was standard buffet quality. I did like the grilled fish though. Very good. Fried crabs were blue Chinese kind and were well prepared. Buffet was kind of small, but that enables control of the product.

Oyster shells has some sort of stuffing on them. Short ribs, now a rare sight on buffets, were very tender and flavourful.

Sushi was average. Rice was overall mushy and not well defined in granular texture. It was seasonsd well though. Some of the rolls had too much rice for my liking.

For the sushi, fish portions were very generous, some even dwarfing the rice. The fish was firm and in very good condition.
Highlights were the kiwi topped roll, and the peppered tuna and salmon rolls.

Is it worth the 20 I paid for lunch?

Probably not.
