A few years ago I had these anchovy toasts with lemon zest here and I think about those periodically. I went back for the second time and we started off with the dilly bread and it was a strong start I love a good bread and butter and this definitely was memorable. We added roe later and it was SO GOOD. We ordered the oysters and those were good. The gnocchi was delicious but this seems like a plate that anyone would like. It’s a bit more simple. The harissa grilled octopus was tender but I do feel like the flavors were something I’ve had before but that could be cause I eat a lot lol overall enjoyed the meal and would love to come try again in another season
Cute, vibrant neighborhood restaurant! Atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The food is delicious and inventive! The offered libations are pretty tasty as well! Our service had a bit of a hitch but it was made up for. The only reasons I gave four stars instead of five is because I think a few of the dishes are overpriced for the serving given and the parking is nonexistent. However, there are dishes that are worth the price and I will try those out next time I visit. Highly recommend!

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Houston so far. The restaurant is in a cute house in a very unassuming neighborhood. Once you’re in, the friendly staff leads you to your table and from there you really can’t go wrong. We started off with some raw oysters which were amazing, followed by 2 appetizers and 2 entrees (all to share, which I recommend to do at this restaurant).
The spinach dip was probably the best spinach dip we’ve ever had and one of the entrees (the corned hash) was a very cool twist to the classic Reuben sandwich. Ended the meal with a dark chocolate pie that was so rich with flavorful but not overwhelming.
All in all, you really can’t go wrong with what you order here. We already can’t wait to go again and try some more off the menu.

Went there because it was close to our accommodation, did. Not read the reviews and did not know what to expect... What a great place. Super welcoming stuff, extremely knowledgeable about the food and drinks on the menu. The dishes were great, don't miss the tartare and the bone marrow! Vast selection of wine, whiskeys and cocktails. Decent selection of beers too. Loved it!

Absolutely lives up to the hype.
Both pasta dishes were so fresh, flavorful, and unique. I mean, I haven’t had anything this good since I was last in the Bronx.
Our spinach dip was great, and somehow stood out beyond spinach dip at any other restaurant we’ve been to. Judging by just how good the focaccia bread was alone, I’m sure they just really pay attention to details.
Both of our two (maybe three ????) cocktails were well crafted and unique.
And the pies. I mean. I rarely get dessert at a restaurant, but since we hear about it all the time we felt obligated to do it. I’m so glad. The chocolate pie thing wasn’t overly sweet or bitter - it was completelyyyyy unique and satisfying. If you’re into dark chocolate- that is for you. The key lime is classic and fabulous, but the crust is what makes it special.
To top it all off- every single staff member that we interacted with was warm and friendly.
It’s the ultimate date night spot, or place to take your best friend who’s here from out of town.

Amazing food, service & atmosphere.
Although we didn’t have reservations, the hostess made us feel welcomed and at home!
We love “sharing” our food, portions were perfect & we had the most perfect evening thanks to Nobies.

A fine dining experience in a small quaint tucked off area off Shepherd. The dishes were all good sharing portions, and the service was quick and very attentive! There are some menu staples, but the menu is seasonal and based off of the goods they get from local produce and meat sellers! Got Nonna's pasta, the octopus, and bone marrow. Each dish was beautifully presented and had so many different flavors in each bite. The infamous Dilly's pasta usually sells out pretty quickly, by 7 or 8 pm, so we weren't able to try it, but I hope to get to try it one day. Apparently they only make about 30 or so dishes of each menu item daily, so go earlier to guarantee a certain dish! if we had room, we would have tried a pie, but alas that has to wait for next time as well!

I have been coming here since it opened and I lived a walk down the street from it. The food has always been top notch, with incredibly rich fusions of unexpected flavors. The wait staff is always on top of things and the atmosphere is that kind of relaxed buzzy you only get at a truly local place. The cocktails are excellent and the selection of alcohols, particularly the whiskey, shows some real thought and effort went into the selections. There is an absolutely superb latter half century sound system hooked up throughout the restaurant hooked up to a fine turntable with a selection of records just as deliberately picked as the whiskeys. It's one of the few restaurants I go to where I really feel like I am getting exactly what I paid for. When people ask me for examples of Houston being the new national foodie city, Nobie's is the first name out of my mouth.

This place has been on my list for a while! I’m so happy I got to dine here. The bad thing about this place is the parking. It is non existent besides street parking. My cousin and I had an early reservation. Everyone is very friendly when you walk in. Everything is meant to be shared. We got the dilly bread with roe, and it was extremely good. Endive salad with apples, Gouda, and almonds was super fresh yet flavorful. The squash was the best dish! It came with curried lentils and was just seasoned super well. The short ribs were good, but not my favorite. We got some pie to go. The service was excellent! They play very good music too.
Update: just had my to go pb, chocolate pie, and it is ridiculously good. Holy cow.

One of the best things about Nobies is the hours. It is amazing to be able to to get good food until 11:00pm. Every item I’ve had is wonderful. I recommend trying something you would never try. The flavor profiles that are put together are amazing. One of my favorite places to end up at.
