I ordered from her a couple of times, and let me tell you, this is the best Caribbean food you will find in this area. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and Passionfruit Lemonade and when I took that first bite, I knew it was the TRUTH. The pricing on the dishes is fair and you can tell that these people care about preparing good food, I mean the chicken I ordered literally was falling off the bone. Overall, I wrote this review to thank the staff for a great meal, this is now one of my go to places to eat.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!! GO SEE FOR YOURSELF!! I am Jamaican born and raised and this food right hereeee is the TRUTHHH. Reminds me of back home. And dem full up mi plate ????!! Place was clean with a chill vibe and the cashier guy was nice. Love it here!! Definitely my new favorite Jamaican spot! Oh and they have some Cajun dishes too!!

Really tasty food. Everything we ate was really enjoyable and it was a treat since Jamaican food isn’t very common.
The juice was incredible as well. It is home made and really stupendous.
I could see us returning and enjoying our meal again.

I am beyond disappointed with my experience here today. We brought some friends because we enjoyed the food so much the first time we’d thought it would be a good time. The service we received from the girl in the store was HORRIBLE. She acted like she didn’t know anything and laughed at my friend when she asked for a condiment. The food was good but the drinks??? They were okay but not nearly worth the price that is not even listed on the menu. My meal said it would come with a garlic bread and when I asked for the bread she acted like I was stupid then proceeded to say they don’t do that anymore; even though it’s on the menu. The rum punch is $18 and not listed anywhere on the menu which I think is absolutely atrocious. Spent $100 to get horrible customer service, criminally over priced drinks without being told a price before hand, and some okay food. Even worse is when we went and tried to resolve the issue the owner of the store didn’t care one bit and actually laughed at my boyfriend on the phone. Will never be going to this horrible place again. Hopefully they learn some actual customer service.

JUST PERFECTION!!!!!
I can not emphasize how all the flavors came together and danced so graciously on the tongue. I had low expectations considering the location. (Houston) As always, Houston delivers another under the radar but LEGENDARY establishment.
The authentic ingredients goes to show this is a legitimate Caribbean Restaurant.
It may be pricey for one meal but I'm sure it is because these ingredients a imported and bought directly from a first hand vendor.
I will be making my return here once a month!!!! Just to remind myself of what the Caribbean holds in store for me.

Over priced pasta and some meats were undercooked. Overall it didn’t have much flavor and I was disappointed. I gave 3 stars for the portion size of the combo plate, but likely wouldn’t given 2 for food experience. Did takeout so can’t speak for service

I'm so disappointed I got on here a few months ago and really bragged on the service I received at Nyammings .So much so that today I decided to visit the Wilcrest location both my coworker. We asked if we could substitute the rice and beans me as well as the cabbage and plantains. The girl advised we could get a side of oxtails and sides of Mac and yams. When we got back to the office we still had the sides we didn't request . We paid $5.19for a container of yams that only contained 4 pieces of sweet potatoes and the rest juice . The Mac & Cheese was disgusting. Then we only received 4 oxtails for $30 that was full of fat. When I contacted the store the young lady advised me that the owner or her manager said it was nothing he could do. What kind of customer service is that. So basically he only concerned about the Richmond location and the hell with what you get from the other location. I will never refer another soul especially the way this was handled . These pics speak volumes for themselves.

I went to try Nyammings today. I had the Jamaican curry chicken,plantains, rice and peas and cabbage. And had the passion fruit lemonade. I only waited 15 minutes all my food was great and hot. That lemonade was good next time I’ll get two bottles. Overall I will be back.

When I tell you it was my first time trying this place and the food was SO GOOD! One of the best Jamaican plates I ever had! The oxtails are on point I will def be back soon!

From the customer service to the food this place is fire! A co worker and I just stopped in like the true foodies we are, both of our first time and All I can say is I will return for sure! For starters the young lady in the front has excellent customer service skills, polite, friendly and welcoming. My friend ordered curry goat and I the Rasta pasta, and when I say ON POINT I MEAN ON POINT. Kiss the cook fr !! I’ve never had goat and I’m glad my first try was here! Now I’m in love with it and that Rasta pasta is bomb no questions asked, nor extra season needed it was seasoned to perfection , both meals. The portions are good as well, I support chain restaurants with this price tag on a regular why not my own people. I will most certainly be making my way down through there again 10 stars????
