cheesecake to die for... wait was a little long for one sat at bar instead of waiting, guests were warm and inviting, visited around 2pm... left with a take out order of gumbo, that French bread (New Orleans calls it French bread might have a different name here) was the best outside of New Orleans...
Excellent, world-class seafood. My second time here. Heads up: This place is very expensive, BUT you get a bang for your buck. I had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas (blackened catfish, oysters, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, lemon garlic butter sauce, dirty rice; $39.95) and my friend had the Texas Redfish Pontchartrain (pan-grilled redfish, lump crab, shrimp, brown-butter wine sauce, dirty rice; $43.95). The sauces on the catfish and the redfish were exquisite. We had drinks, Greek salad (okay but overrated; bland and didn't have the expected zing), and oysters on the half shell for starters (see my photo of the tab). Again, EXCELLENT. We ate at the bar and got first-class service. The decor here is at once elegant and comfortable without being stuffy. It's a perfect place for any special occasion or celebration.

First time coming to this place, lots of friends always rant and rave about it. I must say I did love the shrimp étouffée, the blackened catfish was also great. The gumbo was pretty basic. The server We had wasn’t great, didn’t bring and more bread and getting a refill was next to impossible. Overall food is good and worth trying, it’s very expensive being that it’s Cajun seafood.

Had a two hour layover and decided to try this place out. I wasn’t expecting much but I was glad I was able to experience it. Their food were AMAZING! It was so tasty and flavorful. Pricy but definitely worth it. Service was great as well. Friendly and accommodating staff. I would, absolutely, recommend this establishment.

Charles, our server was fantastic. Food was good except my fish and my niece fish, and her chicken tenders were hard fried. Thankfully, Charles had them replaced. Other than that, everything was good. Charles 5 stars.

I placed a to go order last night and was throughly satisfied. The only con was the wait time. My food was scheduled to picked up at 6:03, I was 20 minutes late and still had to wait about 10 minutes until it was brought out. Other than that, everything was delicious. This was my first time having trout and it was really good. I would definitely order it again. The portions were plentiful and as always, the cheesecake was soooo good. If you’re a cheesecake fan, I highly recommend you try Pappadeaux’s. It really is worth $10.

Everything was good.. I believe all the LSU fan ate all the Gumbo but other than that serve was great and the food was absolutely delicious!!
I showed up early for my reservation and my family and I were seated by the time I used the restroom and came back!! That made me very happy after traveling with children and needing food ????????
This is one of the best Pappaduex in Texas!

Food was just as I remembered it!! So delicious and worth a visit. I really love the Greek salad. It meant to be shared but that was my meal. Bread and butter is great. Hubby loved the oysters. Kids enjoyed the chicken tender basket. We all love the mozzarella cheese bites ???? with spicy marinara sauce. I got the patron margarita and was perfect. Pricy but food is top notch. Lennon was our waiter and he made our dinner even better. He was very attentive and polite. We celebrated a bday and he was awesome!

I use to go to Pappadeaux all the time about 10 years ago and over the years it started to seem like they were too commercial and were not putting the love in the food that they were serving....well I went for the first time in a few years a few days ago and OMG let me tell you, things have changed. The service was world class. The young waiter that we had was off the chain good. The drinks were delicious. The food was fantastic...and the atmosphere was amazing. I'll definitely be back very soon and it won't be a few years from now. Heck, it might even be today. See you there.
P.S. they get busy so either make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a few....totally worth it either way. I wouldn't steer you wrong!????
