It would be a 5-star restaurant if it didn't waste its time with its Chinese menu first. It should be proud of the Indonesian food. Maybe it's because all the Indonesian already know by word of mouth. Im only disappointed because I almost got stuck ordering a gen tsos chicken... In all honesty it has other glaring issues. Cleanliness in hard to reach spots. Drinks are by the can and water is bottled. Great for takeout.
This place has always been a staple in Alief and it has never disappointed me. Big portions. Try the Indonesian noodles.

This placed USED to have great Indonesian food. This time, the shrimp was flavorless and tasted like the fridge. The fried chicken tasted like it had been refried before. Sadly, we won’t come back. The prices were way to high for the poor quality food.

Good food. Great prices and service. If the place was more appealing to the eye it would be perfect.

Overpriced, overworked, understaffed, yet they did well despite how busy it was with only a cooks and two customer service people. My food was served within 10 minutes from ordering. They didn't have water. I had to buy water for 75 cents and buy rice for 85 cents. My Indian dish there was $17. It tasted pretty good, but the egg soup didn't have any seasoning. She had me get my own bottle of water because they were very understaffed. They were still nice and respectful. They as in the staff that works there. I don't think the food was worth near $30. I think Indian dishes are just more expensive and I'm glad they have both Indian dishes and Asian dishes at one place. I would recommend this place for a quick, satisfactory meal. I also like that the place is spacious.

Everything was delicious and had a unique mouth feel and texture to them. This is my first experience with Indonesian food and I have to say this place really went above and beyond when it came to food. I see other reviewers commenting that this place is very consistent when it comes to quality and I'm glad because I'm very happy with what I received. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!

Hands down one of the best fried rice I’ve ever had! Their food has been consistent over the years. I don’t live in the area but every time I’m nearby, I always order rice bowl.

Very good! We ordered off of the Indonesian menu. We ordered the rendang, rice, sate ayam, gado gado, and kang kung. Very nice staff, came out fast, fresh and flavorful food!

While there is some Chinese food it is really best for Indonesian food, which is not very common around the country. If you’re in the area and never have had Indonesian food this is a great place to stop by.
The place focuses on takeout but there are tables if you want to sit down

A hidden gem in plain sight. This is one of the few legitimate Indochinese restaurants in town. I have been coming to this place for a few years and it never disappoints me. Each plate has it's own authentic taste. The are other wanna be Chinese restaurants that try to pass their food as authentic but the taste and texture is bland and has a generic taste. The prices in here are reasonable. You get more than what you pay for. Not many know this but this place has a second menu. They sell Indonesian food as well. This is one of the few Indonesian restaurants in town. The food is much more superior in taste and quality. Not everyone tries the Indonesian menu due to the fear of trying something new. If you haven't done so, you need to do just do it. You wont be disappointed. They also have won awards and are one of the 100 best restaurants in Houston.
