Good selection of pizza and we could build our own including vegan options. Nice beers on tap. Friendly helpful staff. Not sure about using garlic on every pizza.
Delicious pizza with fast and courteous staff. It's located right across from Hyatt Regency under the mini tunnel on Polk. Order online, park in front of the door with your hazards on, and get your pizza.

In my opinion an excellent dining experience. Pasta dishes were prepared correctly, sauces were flavorful and properly prepared. The pizza was delightful. Service was attentive and fast. Desserts were very attractive, though we did not try any of them. Definitely would dine again, if in the area.

The food was delicious & a good amount of food for each serving! My husband had a calzone & I had a medium pizza, and we both had enough for leftovers. I thought the Duppio Pepperoni pizza was tasty and not a combination I would have normally ordered, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Our little one also really enjoyed his meatball & pasta.

Ordered a pasta dish with grilled chicken to-go. The portion was really small and I had to actually push all the pasta around to find the tiny slivers of chicken. Not what you would expect for "New York style" Italian!

The food was not good. One bite and i just couldnt bare to eat anymore. Ordered the chicken piccata, tasted really bad. The broth was like a dishwater color and had a smell. Maybe from the mushrooms? My husband ordered the chicken parm and it was just as bad. Watered down and the sauce was so basic that it was just tomatoes. Pasta for both dishes was way over cooked. Gnats were everywhere, not sure why. We did ask for our money back.

This place used to be great for lunch. Went back today, prices have gone up alot. The pasta I get used to cost $12 is now $17, the service was slow, it took my lunch mates over 30 minutes to get their slices (simple pepperoni). When they did get it, the pizza was doughy and hardly any sauce. We had to ask for the bread basket and that took 10 minutes. I get they are understaffed but if it costs this much, takes this long, and quality is lacking maybe its time to shut down or get new management.

While I was Downtown in Houston, TX I stopped by to get a slice of their New York-style pizza. It was ok, but it wasn't truly "New York" style at all...but it was good to say the least.

Thank goodness this pizza spot was open after 6pm. Seems like every thing downtown closes early as they must focus on local business traffic. That was good news for me as I really enjoyed the Biaca (sp?) slice. Beer was tasty but I forget the name. Mozzarella sticks were good and plentiful. Not very busy on a weeknight so you'll quickly get a table. Place was clean and service was friendly.

Walked in for a casual lunch and had a great experience. Employees were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. I went with a build your own slice.
I ordered a specialty veggie slice. They were generous on the toppings. Presentation of toppings and distribution was inconsistent. However, it's easy to look past that aspect when you realize how big your slice is. The size of the pizza slice is a absolute hit, especially when compared to NYC pizza shops that I've visited. The crust is delicious. The toppings are too fresh, I'm my opinion. I would have liked my veggies a little more cooked and warmer. The sauce is very addicting.
Visit Russo's for New York style pizza with a touch of Texas love.
