Awesome place for quick and cheap but fresh fully loaded to-go boxes of food!!!
Love their roasted pork belly!!! Must try for the crispy skin!!
Sweet and sour pork and regular char siu pork are also good options, as is EVERYTHING else there!!!
I found you, Sin Lap City.. Woohoo. You were lost for some years now. Your old name was Long Sing, on Walker St. I love your food Back then. and now your food is just as good. So if you get a chance to drive or walk by this place. Stop on on and get your self a plate. You will not be disappointed.

This was a pleasant surprise! I stumbled across this place tucked in the corner of the shopping center on my way to another regular spot. Peking duck had moist meat, just enough roast on the skin and excellent flavor. Roasted pork was the highlight for me with crispy skin and juicy meat. Bok choy, fried rice, and an eggroll to round it out. Don't skip on the ginger onion sauce!

Was looking for a Chinese BBQ place outside of Chinatown, found it! Walked through the door and smelled the greasy, delicious BBQ in the air, and greeted by nice workers, I knew this place was it. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection!
Still my favorite place to get roasted pork... their pork belly is superb to all the other places around. Every time I am in town, I always have to get a couple of pounds! The best!

Cantonese style roast and bbq place. Roast duck had crispy skin, even got a juicy neck. A mix of pieces so you get a good variety. Bbq pork (char siu) was a little dry but I could have asked for a fatty portion. It was slightly sweeter than I was used to in San Francisco. But good nonetheless. The large plate with a generous amount of rice, bok choy, roast duck and char siu plus chilli sauce and duck sauce was $11.85. I think it's a great deal. It's enough for two portions for me.

Awesome place for authentic Chinese BBQ. They have all you an image and more. Friendly staff that speaks multiple languages. This gem is a must stop when inside 610. Go for the bbq pork, bbq ribs, and duck (but loved the fried ribs and chicken wings too). For a refreshing sauce, try the ginger onion.

This was a neat quick lunch spot. If you are a fan of crispy pork belly, char siu, and roasted duck, you should definitely come here! Me and my partner shared a plate of large which you get either white or fried rice proteins and 1 vegetable. I got here around 3pm so there weren't that many veggies left to choose from. Don't skip the sauce and chili, it's a must. There was no line so it didn't take long to get an order in. They also do catering.

This place is great. There is a free shared parking lot for the businesses in the strip as well as additional parking on the second floor. The restaurant space is pretty compact. You walk in and the menus are on the wall to the right. The fresh meat is on display and labeled at the front. You order with a person at the counter. They were polite and answering questions for first time customers. After you order, you just stand around wherever there's room until they call you over to the register. It's a little disorganized, but it works well enough. The food was pretty good. The portion size was very generous. If you like this style of Asian meat, rice and veggie, you'll love this restaurant. It's just like something you'd find at a hawker center in Asia.

Siu Lap City still has the most flavorful Chinese bbq selections in Houston. The original Woo family "Long Sing Supermarket" location started over in old Chinatown in Houston back around 1989/1990 over on Walker St., taking over the BoBo Lang Theater building. Closing & relocating in 2017, this rebranded and new location is pretty much ran by the daughters now as far as I can tell and no longer sells Chinese groceries.
Like numerous other food and retail businesses, they appear to have increased prices since the 2020 quarantine. The one thing that bothered me is they are now charging for extra condiments as well as an additional charge if you use your credit/debit card.
I save a lot of gas and time from driving to SW Houston and the selections are still tasty after 30+ years, so it's worth it.

Spent $24 here on 1lb BBQ pork, half pound of roast pork and 1/4 roast duck. It taste really good but it was cold when we take away (dropped one star for that), so we had to return home to reheat it before eating.
Flavourful roast meat, and would come back for it.
