Beware, eating here has absolutely ruined brisket for me as it was so phenomenonal I can't eat brisket anywhere else and not immediately be sad that I'm not eating at Truth. Same with the ribs. Just amazing. Worth the wait however long it is. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing food, honestly I need to plan to come back as this is the only place I can now eat brisket from. Order twice as much as you think you want and you will be very happy you did!
BBQ was good. Couldn't get everything that I wanted they were sold out of a few things. Tried the Carolina whole hog in place of the pulled pork on the menu, it was pretty good. Overall I don't feel as though I got a good value. I ordered the 3 meat plate fo $30, it came with 2 sides. Brisket, ribs, and pulled pork is what I ordered. Two slices of brisket one rib and a portion of the whole hog they substituted for the pulled pork. My wife ordered a chopped beef sandwich and a sausage link. She couldn't pass up the brownie

We ate here for the first time the other day and it lived up to its reputation- amazing. We arrived around 3PM on Sunday (we didn’t realize it closes at 4PM- no wonder the line was only to the door). Besides being out of a few items (they had sold out by that point) it was an amazing experience. The pork ribs were so good I didn’t even need the sauce- and I LOVE a sauce. We love the Pitroom too and thought this bbq might have even been better! It definitely had a more peppery profile which was really nice. Plus they had some unique beers like a berry shiner which was a first and super yummy! We will be back!

Came for the first time this past weekend.
Line was long but went by relatively quickly. Waited about 25 minutes on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30. Prepare to wait outside in the summer heat.
Food was good. I’m not a huge BBQ person so you might be wondering why I went to a BBQ place but I went to meet with family and overall was satisfied with the food.
Usually I go for the brisket or pulled pork but I tried every meat they had to offer except the Turkey.
The brisket was an 8/10. Too much fat for my liking.
The pulled pork was a 10/10. Didn’t even need sauce.
Not a sausage person so I’m biased here but the spicy pepper Jack was a 4/10.
The sides where good as well but the Mac and cheese left a lot to desire, it was extremely dry.
We had a tres leches cake and it was an 11/10.
Overall a great destination if you’re wanting to try some BBQ.

I decided to give Truth a try based on their reviews. Too bad for us, it wasn't what we expected. Not to mention, the name says it all, the "Truth" is according to a worker I spoke to, he said you should get in line around 10:30am to at least have any of the meat items available on their menu. We arrived after 1pm and they did not have many meat options to choose from. There were only 3 meat options: chopped brisket, 1 slab of pork ribs, and pulled pork. Not even 1 link of the sausages were available. I went especially to try their sliced brisket, turkey, and sausages.
Grant it, the meat was smoked good and it was tender as well, but they didn't have a bbq sauce that we like. The sauces they had were on the vinegar side. The sides we had were just okay, but made the best of it.

As you can see by the pics, the prices have gone up. Still very much worth it on my opinion. The sausages were my favorite. They were sold out on the spicier option! The sauces at the table were good. Long line but it moved relatively fast. Good selection of drinks. Very cutely decorated.

Super simple, best BBQ I’ve ever had! The flavor of the meats were outstanding. Legit smoke rings! The sides were delicious! The chocolate brownie, Oreo cookie, and chocolate chip cookie dessert was amazing!!! We are already planning another trip out to TX just for the food!

Was here from out of town, and a friend recommended this place as the best BBQ in Houston. Everything was so flavorful! The brisket basically melts in your mouth. The sprouts were so tender and flavorful. The tot casserole and corn pudding were great as well. Everything had a bit of a kick to it, which I loved. The bread, pickles, and onions are also a nice touch. All the flavors just melded together really well. Only complaint is that the brisket was a bit too salty, and I wish it would’ve been warmer.

Texas monthly ranked this place as number 3 for best barbecue in Texas and I can see why. First off make sure to get there early because they will be a line and when I went it was about a 45 minute wait. So what I got was the brisket, ribs and two sausages both pepper Jack and jalapeno cheddar. The brisket was so tender and full of flavor with the perfect amount of bark just amazing!! I've never seen pepper jack sausage but oh my you do not want to miss that I will highly recommend the sausage both pepper Jack and jalapeno cheddar so full of flavor amazing. As far as the sides I've truly believe every side is just as good as a barbecue from the potato salad to the mac and cheese to the corn pudding every piece of it was amazing. They truly hold a high standards for Texas barbecue and I do believe they deserve being in the Texas monthly top three . You do need to find out for yourself and don't be scared to wait in line as it is worth it!

Was more than excited to try Truth after all I’ve heard, and I’ve been trying to get to all of the Texas top 50 BBQ restaurants in 2022. Truth did not disappoint, and if I’m houston definitely worth the visit. Don’t let the line scare you, it moves quick and you’ll soon have your food. Friendly staff on the entire line, and great little food hall. Little more on the vinegar side for my personal taste, but the flavor is exceptional and the bark on those ribs was spot on!
