This was my the Husband and I second time eating at this restaurant. I decided not to edit my last google review but to give another great review because this was another great ???? visit to V Star ???? this afternoon. The food ???? was great ???? and hot ????. There are so many buffets to choose from including a sushi ???? bar, salad???? bar, soup ???? , fruits ????, etc. i always enjoy the salad bar with fresh prepped pico de gallo. The hostess was cordial and my server MARIA was outstanding. She was so friendly, prompt, and courteous with her conversation. The kept our table clear of plates and our drinks ???? filled. Gracias ☺️ Doña Maria. If you’re ever in the Hobby airport area and hungry stop by V Star on 45 S at Belfort. Ask for Maria on Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday , she’ll give awesome ???? customer service and with the awesome ???? food ???? you can’t be disappointed. See you next time V Star ???? and Maria the visit was awesome ????.
The food was horrible! The food was cold . It wasn’t a big variety of things to choose from . A waste of 38.00 dollars . The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It was a nice atmosphere. They told Us at the front that we would half to pay upfront because it was more then 6 of us only to see another table that did not pay . I am assuming because we are black and the other people was Hispanic .

The food was delicious and fresh. The price was reasonable for the amount of seafood. The building was hot and the napkins were so thin and tiny. The server was nice. The seafood tasted great. The dessert was sufficient. The soups were good too.

The food was good but I was surprised there was no beef and broccoli and no sweet and sour chicken. The music did not theme into the oriental food selections.I left under impressed. Watch your steps because there was an abrupt step down but the area was dimly lighted and no caution signs. Would I go back? Probably but only to give them one more chance..

This Buffet was our go to place , they served a variety of foods, good and always hot. There was ice cream or different flavors w cones. The restrooms were always clean as well. I did not mind the price, the food was worth it. Now food is in smaller trays, cold food, or food looks like old food that has been re heated. The salad is always horrible, old rotten salad. I think they need a health inspection , so that the owner can stop being cheap and throw away what is not eatable. They now sell you the lemons if you ask for them. It’s an all you can eat, so why are we being charged xtra for lemons? This restaurant has changed for the worse. It’s an all you can eat buffet , so why charge for lemons? The owner is rude, he can care less about your complaints. If you complain, he says, we’ll go somewhere else. All he cares about is making money. He’s not concerned about the service provided. He treats his employees like #%#%, he screams and scolded them in front of customers. It’s sad because it’s young girls and guys trying to do their job to earn a living. This is probably why he always has different servers, they don’t last. Here is a picture of what the cantaloupe was like yesterday 6/21/2022. Mold on the fruit

This used to be a great place to go to. With that being said, this location is not a great representation of the original V Star that was located on Woodridge. This place, on the Gulf Freeway, lacks in customer service and food quality. First and foremost, they raised the pricing for dinner as they advertise craw fish. Yes, advertise. Reason I say advertise is that this is a buffet- meaning all you can eat hence the price increase. These owners bring out a small tray, single tray of craw fish and expect to serve 10 - 15 people that are in line waiting for the craw fish. There is a 30 - 45 minute interval before the next tray is brought out. Aside from that, the food is not hot and they have very little variety to choose from. If you are looking for Sushi, this may be your place as they do have a decent variety. I would not recommend this place at all. Not worth the price or wait.

Need sum salt and bigger buffet serving...that little pan of shrimp and baby crab need to either bring more out in mass quantities or have servers to serve them dishes.Folk waiting at the buffet for pans to get refilled and then take them all. Need to treat servers better good worker are hard to find.

The chicken was cold, the tempura was soggy, the food tasted like it was old, and we had to flag down people for refills 3 times. we went around 730 we were there for more than 45 minutes. The only thing we enjoyed was the sushi. Stay away from the soggy tempura. Even the fortune cookies were not crunchy.

My experience was wow this place is amazing. After eating the buffet. I became sick as a dog after 45 mins. 3 days of diarrhea, vomiting, diarrhea, vomiting to wear I was going to go to the hospital. A couple of things I ate just seemed off in taste. I went during the week and there was about 30 people in the place so the food turnover wasn't fresh. 4 days later I'm still sick

Worth a try. Stopped in to check them out during their dinner hour. I swear with all the neon and fancy signage outside the building, you'd think it was a large night club... come to think of it, the inside looked like a night club as well and yes, they have a liquor license.
The dining room seemed pretty clean and there was certainly an incredible amount of food choices throughout the enormous buffet setup. I never got a chance to try everything that looked good because the kitchen would constantly bring new selections out when various pans of food disappeared. This is obviously the "go to" buffet restaurant that families in the area patronized to feed all the kiddos.
The food is comparable to most Asian buffets I think except these folks had over 20 different selections of Sushi displayed as well as a constant line of people willing to wait to load their plates up with crawfish and other seafood choices.
The management and staff were extremely attentive and nice. Worth a try!
