I’ve love Velvet Taco, starting back in 2014 in Fort Worth. This location is no different, still a great atmosphere with fantastic food. So many options chicken, fish, vegetarian, pork, and beef. Phenomenal drink selection, with some local beer, soft drinks, TOPA Chico, Mexican Coke, white claw, bottled water, and some standard beers.
It was a little disappointed I didn’t see the back door chicken looks like it was painted over. I’m not sure if this location still offers that or not. If they do you should definitely try it. Slow roasted rotisserie chicken with corn tortillas, roasted corn and a Elote corn. Also comes with a side of hot sauce and Valentina. Oh and it’s only $20 and you can pick it up to go only.
I did see a sign that refers to parking so be careful where you park so your car doesn’t get towed. Very nice of the restaurant to inform their guest about parking not a lot of places would do that.
Overall it was a great experience. So many unique flavors in their tacos you can’t go wrong with what you pick. It will definitely be returning to velvet taco! My favorite taco place.
What's up Google! This place is one delicious dish after another! Simply amazing and the Modelo is ICE cold! See pictures of what we split!

Tacos were fire ???? ????
I enjoyed the outdoor seating, taco shell carrier and assortment of options available that you don’t see at other taco establishments. The order was made fresh and ready within minutes. Bathrooms were accessible and kept clean. The water provided was fresh and tasty.

Always loved Velvet Taco!! Ordered a couple of seafood and vegetarian items. Everything was fantastic!!! I do feel it’s a bit pricey.
But you know, we can’t have enough tacos in our lives!!!

It seems that no matter what you get, you'll be very happy. These deliciously stuffed tacos make two a satisfying meal. The staff is quite friendly, and the atmosphere is clearly ready for fun at a moment's notice. I loved the grilled shrimp and the pork belly.

Fantastic food! So much variety for all being tacos. Different types of cuisine. There was a large piece remaining tomato from the blender in the queso. We took it back and asked for a top off of the queso from after removing it, and they provided us with a whole second cup after apologizing. Awesome service. I will for sure be back and will be bringing friends.

Tacos were different, but good! I order the shrimp & grits and the Mexicali shrimp tacos and the brisket nachos. Is little expensive so be prepared to spend about $10 or more for 2 Tacos $6 for a small brisket nachos. I don’t care for mayo or mustard so I asked to not put it in the taco most of the sauces they put in the taco is mix with either this 2 condiments. Corn tortilla was under cooked flour tortilla was good.

First time here and I had no idea what to expect. It definitely feels like they’re trying too hard to be different that it’s almost missing the mark for me. (Velvet Taco in general.)
The queso blanco was pretty tasty and paired well with the blue corn chips. I ordered the Mexi-Cali Shrimp taco, which the cashier told me was a popular choice. It was good, but too saucy for me. The crema and sriracha was overpowering, so I’ll be sure to request light sauce if I were to return. The shrimp were flavorful and grilled nicely.
Curry is something I dislike very much, so I tried to choose options without curry listed, as there weren’t many. I completely overlooked the curry mayo on the menu for the fish n chips taco. I ended up scraping off as much of it as I could, but that didn’t help much. The fish strip was so large that it sat on top of the taco and remaining toppings. The “chips” were buried at the very bottom of the tortilla and were so few that they might as well had not been in the taco.
I didn’t taste the other two tacos, but my friend said they were good, but a bit too saucy as well. I’m not completely sure how I feel about this place, but I may return for the queso and to try other options to make a final decision.
