We chose to make a reservation at Biga on the banks for a birthday dinner, since both my birthday & my husband's are only a few weeks apart. We had dinner reservations for 8:45, and it was ready on time for us to be seated. We had an excellent view of the Riverwalk to enjoy while we ate, as well! Our waiter was informative, and gave us a great rundown on what was currently on the menu for the night.
My husband had : Grilled Beet Salad & Baked Scottish Salmon
I had: Strawberry & Poppy Seed Salad, Mustard Crusted Australian Lamb rack
Both the salads and main courses were so delicious, I've never had lamb that tasted so great. For dessert, we had the Cranberry orange upside down cake which was both airy and tangy. It reminded me or an orange dreamsicle in cake form!
I absolutely would return the next time I was in San Antonio. If you're thinking about making a reservation here, do it! It will be expensive, but it will be worth it. -- Also it does say it on the website, but I'll also note it here:
The dress for this restaurant is business casual, so please keep that in mind :)
We had a private dinner for our clients, 12 guests. From the very beginning, the service from the Event Manager, Alyssa, made me feel very comfortable with the restaurant’s ability to deliver on my high expectations. She took care of every detail, from the floral arrangement to getting special entree’s for my guests, to having the Pastry Chef design a unique dessert. The service from the wait staff, Brady & Tucker was outstanding. The culinary team made every course exquisite. Chef Bruce honored us with stopping by to say hello. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. If you are in San Antonio and want not just a meal, but an experience, you must try Biga.

We had the quail antelope and lamb and everything was fantastic really good desserts we had three. They have an extensive bar with just about everything you would like, plus a lot of things you probably haven't seen anywhere else. Of course the service was great as you would expect for a place like this.

What an amazing dinner we had. My husband has extensive food allergies and the chef once again delivered an amazing meal. He delivered it with creativity, an infusion of flavors and a gorgeous presentation. We love that the chef changes the menu every month to showcase a particular region. Thursday's theme was Latino inspired entrées. If you suffer from food allergies this is your number one top pic for amazing food and an amazing ambience. If it's a nice evening request the patio so pretty to overlook the riverwalk.

Everything was truly 5 stars. There is a parking garage for Biga customers right outside of the entrance so no real walk to get there. The wait staff was so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the extensive wine list. They gave great recommendations, and when I could not decide between two different plates, my waiter actually had the two combined in smaller portions so I didn’t have to choose! I had the antelope and quail as well as the lamb. It was phenomenal! We shared the habanero scallops appetizer which was also so good and not too spicy at all! I found the menu to be very reasonably priced for what we got. This was the best meal that I have had in San Antonio in the year that I’ve been living here!

The meals are pricey but you have to expect to pay big dollars for going to a restaurant that has been nominated for the James beard award 7 times. We had the lamb rack and Tri tips with the cheese plate, And beef skewers. Every dish had unique savory delicious flavors. The service was good and the AC was nice. The front entrance is currently closed for repair so you have to follow the signs around the back of the building too 2 get inside the restaurant. Is right near the love padlock bridge.

Tucker was the most amazing waiter my husband and I have ever had the privilege of being served by.
He was attentive to detail, very helpful with our questions and extremely kind.
The food was perfectly portioned. I wasn't expecting to find vegan food on their menu but was delightfully surprised and made the evening all the more enjoyable.
The view of the Riverwalk is exceptional.
We will definitely be returning!

Nice restaurant with a few outside tables above the river walk. The Apple-Smoked Salmon Chalupa was under-whelming for the price (smoked salmon on a tortilla chip?). The cheese burger is huge and probably very good normally (ours was way under-cooked - they took off our check). The highlight was splitting the entrees. The Pan Seared Natural Scallops & Gulf Shrimp was outstanding! The Spiced South Texas Antelope and Lockhart Quail was also very good. We'll definitely go back.

Elegant and cozy restaurant for some fine dining, without a high price tag. Definitely my go to restaurant to dine with that special someone, or family. They have plenty of tables for 2, and also some nice tables for groups. Saw a private dining room, which is definitely something to try for special gatherings with the family and friends.
The food... wow ! Simply amazing. The lamb rack is something to die for. Potato fries... didnt know it could taste so nice. What flavour. Loved the food here, and more the presentation and overall experience.

The food and service here were good. The meals were interesting and plated well. My party ordered the 3 course prix fixe. I had grilled beets as a starter, followed by the Slow cooked Angus Denver and ending with the Pear Upside down cake.
The beet salad and pear upside down cake were wonderful. The slow cooked Angus Denver was cooked very well however it tasted and came apart like a juicy, but bland brisket. I was underwhelmed by it and wished I tried the Salmon instead.
Overall our experience was very nice at the restaurant for our first time and I would like to try a different meal next time as the starter and dessert were delicious.
