Excellent coffee shop and bakery in Alamo Heights. Need a little more expertise on the expression machine - but otherwise a great spot to visit. And the sweets are over the moon!
Adorable bakery with a selection of breakfast and lunch items in addition to the gourmet baked goods. The service wasn’t very friendly toward kids regrettably.

Wonderful upscale bakery! They have an excellent selection of specialty cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes, small pies and so much more. They also have incredible speciality cakes and other savory items. The decor is beautiful. We went there to get dessert for a birthday. They even had candles so we could sing happy birthday. Wonderful bakery.

Ordered in person and spent almost $1000 on four graduation cakes and three dozen cookies for my daughter and two friends. Advised them when I ordered that the cakes and cookies would travel 1.5 hours to a graduation party and needed to be enclosed in separate boxes (for the quick drive in an air conditioned vehicle). They were not ready at the scheduled pick up time and were presented in open, shallow boxes that had so much space that the cakes would slide around, even with normal driving for a very short distance. Finally got some boxes fashioned with lids…..1.5 hours later. When we opened the cakes at the graduation party, we found BOTH girls names spelled wrong on the top of the cake, despite their names spelled correctly on the order form)!! One of the 2-tier cakes had a maroon colored tier that bled into the bottom white tier. I’m no expert, but a quick decorative line of frosting/beading would have easily covered that up. Absolutely dissatisfied with the entire experience and will not return. The cake flavors were good, but every other aspect of the experience was heart breaking and frustrating.

Nice little bakery. Love that they have gluten-free options in cupcakes! The recommend the chocolate with strawberry icing. Delicious!!!! The cupcakes aren’t huge, just the right size, and they have a variety of flavors to traditional and unique. The cupcakes are sweet but not that super sweet taste because they use natural ingredients for flavor. They also have cookies, brownies, and other desserts. The only problem I see is the parking here can be difficult. The small shopping center is always full, took a star off because of that, not because of the quality of baking.

They are getting very messy with their work. They had previously given us cupcakes that tasted and looked like day old cupcakes for another occasion. We decided to still give them a chance for my daughter’s wedding. The cake was so messy that it took a lot of fresh flowers
to make it look decent. I emailed and they said we damaged it during transport, but as you can see in the pictures, the frosting is overlapped super messy. That did not happen during transport and they know it. So disappointed because we have given them a lot of business for many years. Hope they go back to the quality they had before.

Bird Bakery made the most delicious wedding cake! We had carrot cake on top and raspberry vanilla on bottom - and all of our guests loved it! They decorated the cake exactly as we had asked and the result was perfect with our theme. And best of all, it was a great value.

How mu food tasted is a five but it was our first visit. We got a jar of raspberry jam. MY Husband and I both ordered a sandwich. I said no mustard is you put it.The cashier said no we don't put mustard. We both ordered a drink. We also each ordered a cupcake $49 We sat at a table and waited and waited and waited. I was concerned they forgot about us we waited about 40 minutes. Yes the food was great. Do I was to do that again ?? That's to long to wait. The place is adorable. I wouldn't suggest it if your in a hurry or in our case hungry. I enjoyed my sandwich minus the mustard I didn't want.

Smiling faces and delicious baked goods makes for a great mix. had a seasonal option. Changes. Wow. Now lets throw out some beautiful words at you... Chocolate peanut butter cupcake. Dang. Oatmeal cranberry walnut cookie. Double dang. Mini (not so mini) chocolate pecan pie. Had enough? What about spinach parmesan quiche? Moms banana nut bread. House made granola. Sandwiches. Tarragon chicken salad. Grilled cheese with an artistic twist (Spinach, artichoke, Parmesan, havarti melted on toasted brioche) If that's not a triple dang I don't know what is!

We all may enjoy satisfying our sweet tooth on occasion. Unfortunately, the cupcakes here, although sweet, fall short on flavor imagination and intrigue. The names range in standard mainstays from ordinary to trendy. The seating and decor are inviting and the staff, a bit lukewarm, are serviceable.
