A very cool concept in a wonderful location is somewhat lessened by the lackluster execution of what is otherwise inventive food. Their sushi and their wok dishes are just ok. Nothing to become excited about. Their standout dishes, and the reason for the 3 stars as opposed to 2, is the cebiche. They execute those two dishes very well and both are packed full of flavor. Much beyond that, I cannot recommend more of their dishes.

Great place to meet with friends. The ambiance is chill and it is not loud.

Food was amazing and service was exceptional.

Bartenders were friendly while we waited for our table

We had the empanadas for appetizer and they were so good!

Food was great, a mix of Latin and Asian selections. They gave us a brunch menu at 3 oclock which would have been nice to have lunch or dinner. Really can't complain about the service or food quality but the people on grill/wok station were burning a lot of oil (probably to season their equipment but that made the air smell a bit bitter.

Who knew Japan had an influence on Peru? My buddy did, thank goodness! The menu is pricey and not for everyone, so make sure to check it out before you show up. I chose to rate 5 stars based on the uniqueness of the food, the quality of taste and presentation, incredible service, and visits from the chef and management to show extra attention to random table of friends (i.e., no party, no big spending). That said, I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for a typical franchise casual dining selection or prices, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend children or someone who maybe a bit more particular about what they eat. If you order the ice cream, have a camera ready before a table mate eats the tamarind... so TART!

A perennial favorite that my wife and I visit every time we're in San Antonio. The mixture of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine works very well, and the flavors on dishes like the lomo saltado and the steamed buns are incredible. If you can, try their brunch, which is even better than the regular menu!

Food was visually pretty, but did not taste good at all. The salmon roll had three different types of cooked salmon, but mixed into each piece. I kind of was expecting it to be a few pieces of each type. Any way, the person and I dining tasted one piece of each roll we ordered and left. It was *that* bad. Rice was not cooked well, salmon (to me) tasted like what I imagine dog food would.

I could tell our server wasn't interested in seeing if we liked our food, so I didn't bring it up. Very awkward leaving. Will never go here again.

Yum, yum, yummy! I tried this place on a Thursday night because a good friend said he had been here before and he liked it. This Asian and Peruvian restaurant is good combo of food. My appetizer I ordered was the bomb dot com no lie. My appetizer was potatoes with some kind of sauce that I was sketchy about, but it was really really good! My meal which was the salmon was just ok to me because the salmon was not seasoned well. My sister and I got the sake flight and most of the flavors that the bartender surprised us with were pretty good except for 2. My sister has the smoked brisket and she overall it was pretty good because you could taste how smoky the brisket was. My friend had the charred octopus and he said it was definitely very charred on the outside but he liked that the inside was soft. I would go back to this place again because overall it was a good experience and the food was good.

Great place in the Pearl district. Food was tasty and the sake was cool. The Hana sake was the best. Sweet and satisfying. Great place for business dinners or for family. I highly recommend.

First time trying this restaurant and I have to say it was well worth it. We had brunch and I ordered the dragon roll (sushi roll) and my wife ordered the pork belly steamed buns. The steamed buns were great. The fresh vegetables and pickled onions brought everything together and were the perfect combination with the pork belly. The sushi was amazing...as a matter of fact I loved it do much I ordered another roll. I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back

At first blush, Botika appeared to be an Asian restaurant. Decor inspiration was drawn from many parts of asia, honestly a little confusing for me as to what to prepare my palate for. After spending some time looking at the menu, I came to the conclusion it’s a fusion restaurant. There’s lots of Asian inspired dishes with a Latin twist. On a Friday afternoon, Botika was surprisingly empty, so my group was quickly greeted and seated. We ordered several appetizers along with some cocktails. Everything tasted good and the fish dishes were fresh. Some of the dishes have common names so you expect a a certain type of dish, but served something a bit different; I think they need to revisit their menu names to come up with something more unique if they plan on changing the recipe. Overall, Botika is a good place for solid food, but they need to fine tune who they are to make them shine ✨
