I BUSTED MY BEST FRIEND & MY SISTER HERE! Talk about forbidden love! How dare they come here and have some sort of secret date....well guess what...big brother showed up and made a first date into an awkward one...they sat next to the bar and were sharing what looked like a pepperoni, Italian sausage n jalapeno pizza pie...I acted surprised seeing them there and they had no choice but to invite my wife and I over....we both ate a slice out of spite and washed it down with a cold beer. Mind you I dislike any jalapenos or peppers but these had no heat thankfully.....we would've ordered something but they were closing at 10...when I showed up it was 9:48...I didn't wanna be "one of those people" ordering at closing...any who I gave them both a hard time and thanked them for the slice...I took some more awkward photos to share in the family group chat then bailed...the decor and dining area of Grimaldi's interior gave off a relaxing ambiance despite the uncomfortable situation... Wish we could go again soon to enjoy the atmosphere and other items instead of eating a slice out of spite...it was a spite slice...we want a Grimaldi's slice! See ya soon pizzamaker.... btw how dare they right!?!

Worst service in the city. This location makes Grimaldis looks bad. Took over 10 minutes to greet us. Then Bartender is attending us and had a bad attitude. She decides to bring water and doesn’t even say anything then walks away. I don’t drink tap water. But when we finally waived her down got our drinks doesn’t say anything and just walks away. When we finally got her attention again we tried to order she tells us with the mean face that her oven is being cleaned. We tell her we are going somewhere else not only because the bad attitude but she couldn’t offer a salad or anything. She tries to charge us for the sips we had off the beer I asked to speak to manager. The “manager” comes out with a good attitude but tells us she’s sorry they are cleaning the oven. Then starts to say that it’s a million dollar oven blah blah blah. I was so upset especially when a manager comes out doesn’t offer a complimentary drink, salad or anything. From host to waitress to manager was very poor. You had 3 bad employees in one experience. This was the second time in the year when the experience was bad. Go anywhere else but this place! Hopefully someone steps in to saves this place before it’s another business that closes.it was about 2pm. Edited: This was not a take out order. See how unorganized this location is.

I was told amazing things about this place so when I finally tried it, I was… very underwhelmed. We submitted our takeout order and were told it would be 45 mins to an hour. This is what we left the restaurant with an hour later:

Wow! I'm speechless, came in at around 9pm and they are not busy! Got seated immediately but waited at the table for about 10 min before our waiter came. Ordered 4 waters and 2 wines and a Dr pepper. 15 min later we get our drinks. We order 2 pizza's, one 16" and one 18", pizza comes out and both are 16". When I ask about it they send the manager over. She says "sorry the dough came out smaller than it's supposed to be but I will give you a free cheesecake"...?? Wait what?? Just make me another pizza!! After not seeing our waiter for about 15 min I decided to get up to get my own refill and some napkins. When he finally does show back up he gives me 7 drink napkins for 5 people!! I ask to speak to the manager again and let her know my complaints, she just looks at me with a blank look on her face and says "I don't have an excuse for the lack of service but I will discount the meal"...the amount of the bill doesn't concern me it's the lack of service that gets to me!! When we finally see our waiter he says "sorry, I'm on new medication"...so, I'm assuming that is the reason why he was absent for most of my meal?? Come on, get it together, you are a restaurant in the quarry! Hopefully it was just a fluke but not giving it another chance

Very good restaurant the environment is beautiful and brings a romantic feeling if you're looking for a great place as a couple to go on a date. I have done streams at this location before and it always impressive when they make the food in front of you. I definitely recommend the brick oven pizza at it is one of the finest establishments for brick oven pizza and the food is made with the freshest of ingredients. If you're in the quarry district of San Antonio stop by and try this place out.

For me this place was delicious! Brick oven think crust pizza with the atmosphere and the good service. We really loved it here! Definitely going back

Pretty decent asmosphere. The pizza was great and they had many options. The wait staff was professional and courteous. Overall a good dining experience and great food. Would highly recommend if you're looking for brick oven pizza.

My first and LAST time here. Not really sure how they cook their pizza for it to take an hour to cook, but that's unacceptable. Plus it's burnt. Oh well. Can't always have great first time experiences. I suspect this might be their way to entice people to purchase a salad first. Clever way to add a charge. 7 people in the kitchen from what I see. Looks like the to-go and dining are mixed together. Well, let me taste it....

I would never take my family here again, we lost 3 hours of our lives for some horrible pizza and some weak drinks. Checked in and we were told the wait time was 45 minutes, it was 90 minutes, food took 1 hour to get to our table and then the pizza was burned and the second one was mostly pizza dough and tomato sauce and the manager even pointed out that the 2nd pizza was smaller because they were running out of dough, we ate a couple slices but just left the rest of it there because it was that bad. The chocolate martini was like a watered down glass of chocolate milk. The manager didn't seem to be concerned and almost seemed upset at our reasonable complaints. I asked him for another Blue moon and he didn't seem to be happy about it so he brought me one without the orange slice, which is the staple of this beer.The waitress tried her best but this had nothing to do with her. I will definitely never be back, nor will I recommend this place to all my business partners and/or friends. ????????????
