The salad was OK the ranch is thick just how I like it. Got 12 oz steaks they were cooked how we asked for them. Got fried pickles they were OK but too greasy.

Quiet little steakhouse in Southeast San Antonio. I had a small ribeye and it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and not smothered in spice rubs like some chain restaurants are known to do. Give it a shot if you want something different than the typical chain steakhouse atmosphere.

The steaks there are really good. We were deciding where to go eat at and my sister suggested Hoffman's because 1. It's good and 2. Because they gave out food and whole turkeys during the pandemic. Keeping it local yall!

Drink Review ONLY !! I’m only posting because after asking for a bartender or manager I was ignored. I want this place to improve the bar drinks since there are limited places to have cocktails in the area. …Stopped by for the first time , I ordered a Paloma … but got a glass of ice , water and 1/2 shot of tequila with a lemon wedge that looks like it was found on the floor. $7.00 I will update in 2 weeks.

Devin was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. On top of filling the drinks and taking the plates but didn’t come up too much. The food was great and I would recommend this place to anyone! Our food was great but the chocolate lava cake was to die for!

Gross. Absolutely horrid. Over buttered a thin steak, a PORTERHOUSE, the thinnest, most disgusting porterhouse I've ever had.
Will never, ever return to this over priced hole. Saltgrass and Outback are where you actually get the 22 oz thick cut porterhouse with flavor, not butter soaked and thinnest cut.. milanesa steak for 30 bucks or whatever it was. Yuck.

Should have payed attention to the negative reviews. The $29.00 12 oz. Ribeye was small in size and tasted like the cheapest cut of meat at Walmart. You would be better off using that $29.00 to buy prime Ribeye at HEB and cooking it yourself. The place is very clean and the service is acceptable but the food is well below standard. The Chicken Fried Chicken must have taken one he'll of a beating to get that thin. What taste there was, was only in the breading. Do yourself a favor and try Lew's patio and grill in Floresville for an excellent steak at around the same price.

Hoffman's is the perfect place for a family meal. It was quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city. Our waitress, Ariadna, was very attentive and friendly. She kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. I had the fried pickles, ribeye steak, and loaded baked potato. The food was delicious! I also had a strawberry jalapeño margarita and it was so amazing. I'll definitely be back to visit when I'm in town.

So the menu seemed limited. But the food was good. We it was 3 of us I got the 12 oz sirloin steak with loaded baked potato and a Big Red, wife got chicken fried steak with fries and soup, daughter got grilled chicken breast with fries and soup. They said soup was good, it was beef vegetable, beef tender. Salad was basic lettuce, 2 slices cucumber and 2 grape tomatoes with ranch dressing.. my 2 issues #1 the waitress was ok and checked on us a couple times but never offered refills on drinks...points off for that and issue #2 not enough rolls. We asked for extra and didn't mind paying...she only bought 2. I don't understand cause it was literally only my family and another couple so 5 people in the restaurant total minus the live band that was playing in the room next door which was closed off. So I don't understand the "extra bread policy" so points taken off for that.

My family and myself came here for the first time for my birthday. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was outstanding and very attentive to our needs and didn't skip a beat. The food was delicious and hot. We'll definitely be back to eat again!
