Well, Hector(waiter) was the best. I don't recommend the seafood platter, fish was over cooked/dry. Shrimp and oysters were cooked prefect. French fries were delicious and crisp. $41.03 PLUS $8.00 tip.
I like it tho it's a bit pricey and what I order is not on the menu. So if you know you know otherwise you won't know. I ordered the oysters a la Margarita so good and my Dos XX Beer Rita that is awesome because it is a full size beer bottle not a miniature one like most restaurants. And Queso/Crema chicken enchiladas. So I'm very happy with our dinner and always look forward to coming here last time I came was abt 1yr 1/2ago. And i was gifted the mangolada by a customer so yeah was good to. Yet food still consistent great waiters too. Give it a try

Tried this hot spot on my trip to San Antonio and it did not disappoint. Bartender was very attentive, food was delicious, drinks were fantastic. Would definitely visit again

I stopped in with a group of friends for lunch on a busy Friday. Happily enough, they were able to seat us. Service was actually quite good, and the prices are reasonable for a touristy venue like Marketplace Square. I had the George's special plate, and my friend had a seafood enchiladas luncheon plate. I enjoyed my enchilada, rice and beans, the taco was okay and so was the guacamole dollop. He enjoyed his seafood enchiladas as well. Others enjoyed their dishes, although one did not care for the enchiladas she was served. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided, not too spicy. They offer a full range of adult beverages and at reasonable prices. Seating is available inside and on the patio. If you are looking for a pleasant experience in the marketplace square area for some Mexican cuisine, this is an okay choice.

We visited La Margarita restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy.
They have indoor and outdoors dining. The restaurant is very nice and decorated in a traditional Mexican old fashion style
We ordered the fish ceviche, the oysters preparados and the sour cream enchiladas. Everything was very nice. Our server Juanita was very friendly.
Nice spot for a quick bite and a cold drink.
Quite large liquor selection and beer in the bottle and tap.

Stopped in for lunch as we were visiting San Antonio. It had been a long time since I ate at this restaurant. Victor provided great service. The food was good but not for the price point. We ordered the chili con queso for starters (one size only) which was good. The chips are a little to thick but the salsa and cheese were good.
We ordered the Deluxe dinner with no beans but asked for double rice. This is the first time we have ever been charged extra for taking away beans and adding additional rice (we have eaten at many Mexican restaurants). The fajita meat was tender but not a lot of flavor. We also ordered the Acapulco enchiladas. This dish was good but lacked flavor. I found it a bit strange to have a garlic roll on a Mexican dinner plate. $57 for one appetizer, two entrees, and one soft drink. Not expensive but not cheap for okay food.

Love La Margarita since I was kid. My favorite has always been the parrillada and garnachas. Shrimp cocktails and margaritas are also great. The atmosphere here is very delightful and fun. Highly recommended!!

Pick an outdoor dining table right in the middle of Market Square, or dine inside. Either way, La Margarita us some great Mexican food and the drinks will help get your inner party started. Reasonably priced for a prime downtown venue.

First and foremost, the five stars is a culmination of the service and food. While the prices were a tad steep, the food was delicious and our server (I forgot his name unfortunately) was super attentive and polite; he was very attentive to our table despite the crowd. That being said, all the food was hot and fresh. The stand out was the carne guisada my fiancé ordered and the fajitas on my sampler plate. Even the tamale that came with my meal was delicious. This is definitely a place where you can catch up with friends and family or even a location to enjoy the atmosphere and local culture.

If you have a short break and want good lunch specials, check this place out! It was very busy but the staff didn’t make you feel like it. No waiting for a table, the food was delicious and hot! Very quick turnaround! Javier Ortega was our waiter and anticipated our every need and kept our waters full, chips and salsa full and very friendly! Javier made this experience so worth it and we were so pleased to be seated in his section! Will eat here again!!!
