By this being my first time coming here to pizzarita It was great!!!!!!!! I was craving a calzone they don’t sell them so I order cheese pizza and a Caesar salad
Called to order a pizza for carry out then drive 37 min to pick it up. Walked I. And the place looked clean and the pizza looked amazing! Come to find out they do not accept cash!!!! I had no card on me and had to leave without my pizza! I am extremely disappointed ???? I come downtown ones a week and was hoping this would be my pizza place. Turns out, it’s not…

I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. If you like more sauce than bread or cheese this pizza is for you. It wasn’t bad flavor just more sauce than I like. It was also pretty loud in here and I was one of the only people here.

PizzaRita’s is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. The crust is incredible, the cheese and added herbs and spices are immaculate, and the sauce is pretty good. The pie here is reminiscent of yesteryear's Sbarro, but with better dough. That is a good thing! My only gripe is that you can’t get the speciality pizzas by the slice. Some people want a meat lovers or a veggie slice too without purchasing an entire ‘za, ya know. Still, if you’re looking for a satisfying slice of cheese or pepperoni, this is the spot. Pro tip: bring your own parmesan cheese and/crushed red pepper flakes because there were none to be found.

Me and the fam enjoyed a medium meat lovers pizza and BBQ wings. Both were hot and fresh. The service was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. They were showing Dragonball Z on one of the dining room TVs which my son particularly enjoyed :)

Pretty solid eats, pizza 6.5, ziti 7.5, salad 7. Pizza crust was solid but everything else was mid on it. Ziti was good but for $16 your not 100% worth it, no protein and isn’t a huge portion size. The salad was OK not a lot of dressing but croutons were pretty good. Wait time wasn’t too long on a Friday night and customer service was mediocre.

Definitely a must try!! Stayed near the riverwalk and I’m glad we stopped in for dinner the first night. We just wanted something fast! It was nearby our hotel literally in walking distance. Got there 30 minutes to closing but they didn’t mind, but since we seen they were about to close we got our food to go!! They were fast and the food was delicious!!
We went back on the 3rd day there to get more pizza and wings before we left SA.

Excellent pizza and wings! Pizza dough was fresh and wings were meaty. My friends and I enjoyed it very much! Pizza is handmade* a little greasy. Good prices for downtown area as well. More bang for your buck if you’re ordering for a group.

Stopped in for a couple slices to go. Pizza was pretty good beside being jammed in large sandwich container. Kitchen appeared to be disorganized and took awhile to get order. Prices are reasonable considering it's adjacent to riverwalk.

It was a dark and busy night.
My lonely mind and hungry stomach ached for my one true friend; Pizza.
I hobbled over a stone bridge and up a flight of stairs to wait in a line for 10 minutes. However, that's pretty good timing for how busy this pizzeria was.
I spoke loudly, my mask muffling my words, "medium cheese with mushrooms onions and peppers, to go."
To my surprise, the young cashier understood my request.
I gasped as I read the total.
"This couldn't be right!" I thought to myself
$20.58 for a simple small pizza.
I paid and convinced myself it was going to be a great pizza and a beautiful one.
20 minutes later I'm walking back to my room, pizza in hand. Finally, I open the box, and am greeted by a dingy looking pizza.
"That's alright, I won't judge a book by its cover" I mumble as I take my first bite.
"Oh no. It's only okay!"
The sauce was excellent, some of the best. However, the half baked toppings, the conservatively placed cheese, and the bare minimum crust hindered the whole experience.
As I lay in bed typing this, stomach full, I am still confused why I ate the whole thing.
Maybe it was the loneliness. Maybe the sauce was just that good, or maybe, just maybe, this place can grow on you.
Like a wendigo and it's first bite of long pig, ones appetite for this pizza will only grow.
Only time will tell.
