Sometimes corporate owned stores aren’t up to franchisees standards. We Love, Love, Love Rudy’s but last night’s visit was so unlike any other experience we have ever had. The sauce was great (regular never sissy sauce) but it was all down hill from there.
The moist brisket normally just has a nice bark and a fat layer, but what we got was just a hunk of fat and gristle no bark or anything. The carver should have know better.
The condiments: as a guy who loves the pickles, peppers and onions this was sad and it was on Friday night at dinner time! (Hopefully this was just shortage because the pickles are on a container from china or something).
But the most disappointing was the peach cobbler, this location serves it cold - not sure why but went in for a bite and COLD COBBLER (not quite appetizing).
Hopefully this can get worked out but March 2022 was not a good as it should have been.
Not your average Rudy's with the huge menu and choice. This one feels more personal. The food is as always great. There are much less items on the menu but that's fine. Their staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I would pick the Rudy's over the others any day of the week.

Son and I had lunch and Rudy’s did not disappoint! Brisket and turkey was great! Also enjoyed the serving of beans and jalapeños! We use the Rudy’s rub on just about every meat we cook at home!

7pm on a Sunday and this guy was the only one who seemed happy to be working. Long line and slow meat cutters plus wait time on meats. He has really good customer service and can probably run the restaurant alone. Brisket was dry but cream corn amazing! Out of ice and took them a while to load the machine.

The people are great. The food is great. I love coming to eat Rudy's but the worst part about it is the price. I highly recommend the turkey, not only is it good for you, but it is absolutely delicious.

Bring some water because this brisket is dry! If your looking for fresh and delicious youay want to skip this place. It's lunch time 12:30 and this is what they serve. I feel Bill Millers has better brisket and that's not saying much.

That was the worst BBQ I ever had. I knew it would be bland but I couldn't even bite the rib and the brisket was so dry . The cream corn was not creamy but watered down. The beans were good the bread was placed on top without being wrapped up so it was hard and I didn't receive my pickles and onions I asked for.

Everything was good, particularly the brisket. It was juicy and had these crispy bits that put it over the top. The beans were good, but that tater salad tasted like what you get outta one of those big plastic tubs at HEB. That cost um' a star. Probably not their fault though. Everyone's idea of good potato salad is however their mom made it.
