One of my favorite sea food spots . You can also get burgers and other things that are not sea food for your family and friends that don't like sea food. They are always rearranging and keep it clean. Their shrimp and fish family order is what i get with Fried mushrooms . It's closed on Sundays... it's a bummer cause I'm off that day, but when I'm on the south side i try to make it there. Been going for years and i have no complaints!!

I think they have the best fried fish in San Antonio. The only thing that I don’t like about Rudy’s is no one ever answers the phone. They should hire someone to take phone orders only leaving two people to work the counter. Lots of people come here. They need a better improvement process.

This place was not open during times of business. Workers were coming and leaving without telling us ANYTHING. Customer service from the very beginning was poor! Too bad, I remember going here when I was younger (or even in the past 5 years) and I was very impressed with the level of commitment. I suppose NOW it's not important to tell your customers if you will be open or why you are not open (even as they are coming and going, into and out of the building!). Maybe it's bc we were the lunch crowd, who knows. I brought my family to have a good meal, but instead were just left to wondering why it wasn't open (or why worker's in their Rudy's t-shirt were coming and going). People were showing up to doors locked, with workers going into work and NO note, no updates. It takes but seconds to let your customers who are waiting outside in the extreme heat. Change your hours or put a note up Rudy's! It's a shame your level of commitment to your service does not continue your legacy. Simple things make big impacts. I recommended to those who were there to go somewhere else. I'm sure other businesses would be open per the hours on their building and website. Good food? Maybe. Open when they were supposed to be? Nope.

Disappointed with this establishment. Rudy’s used to be the staple of the south side. Food used to be the best fish in the city with extra added portions. Over the years, it went downhill. Prices are high for the food. Fish and batter now has zero flavor, fries are typical boring fries, not crispy enough. Can now say there are other better seafood restaurants for the price. Disappointing to comment to recommend somewhere else.

Food was amazing, my wife saw this place on the news and they got the blue plate so I decided to go for a drive. Drove to the place and it looks like a whole in the wall but beautiful Spurs memorabilia on the outside, we walked in and waited in line, we placed our order and was told it was gonna be a 30 min wait, time goes by but wasn't sure if there ac unit needed free-on but it was tolerable with the ceiling fans going. Once we had our food it was good well worth the drive and wait, Rudy's seafood keep doing what you guys are doing cause 60 years strong and God willing 60 more!!!! ???????????? congratulations on 60 years!!!

My wife had the pleasure of taking me to this awesome place on the south side and we enjoyed it together! Man as we were leaving the line was out the door, and I was wondering why? Well, the proof is in the pudding like Grandpa used to say. The fish is great the fries are great all the condiments are available there right at the counter even all the to go things you need are available to the customer. The portions are exceptional especially for two people, heck we even brought leftovers home it was that much. Pricing is reasonable and we definitely will return because I didn't get a chance to have the shrimp! Thanks for this awesome experience!

Never tasted the food. But iv always seen this place so packed. And when I did go in one day. I noticed that inside is a joke. It is a very small dine in area. And basically people go to order and wait in there cars to take home. Maybe food good. But I like to dine in

First time here. Food was fresh and so delicious. I ordered the daily special. The fish was crispy and delicious and the shrimp is a good size. I tried to order ahead for pickup but the phone just rang and I got a recording that a voicemail wasn’t set up. Staff was great none the less. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by for lunch on a weekend. Their specials are a great bargain! The fish, shrimp and stuffed crab were delicious! Will definitely return!

Went for lunch and the wait was well over 30 minutes if not longer. I got it to go and the fish was hot and tasted great. It was worth the wait.
