First off if you’re going with a party of 4 or more you need to make a reservation. We were 6 and were told it will be 20mins but ended up being 1hour and 15 mins before we got seated. Food here was good.
Our family had a very nice evening out to this restaurant. Our waiter and host were very nice. Everyone loved their food! The pizza was great and the lasagna was amazing! They start you with bread (no oils) and butter. There is some outdoor seating and the indoor dining has great ambiance (although I thought the poles looked a little more candy cane-like). We had an excellent dining experience and plan to return to try more items on the menu. Great spot.

I would say more of a 4.5 rating but you can't give half stars. The fried cheese sticks with their house marinara was hot, fresh and delicious. I ordered the rigatoni with italian sausage and my husband ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Both were exquisite, hot and fresh. The staff gave us fresh warm bread the moment we sat down and we had no wait (3pm on a Saturday). Everyone was kind and courteous and attentive. We will definitely return.

Sorrento has the feel of an upper class restaurant but with reasonable prices...but not cheap. The pizza is very good: I loved the crust. We had a Mediterranean and a meat lovers. Both had high reviews from the table. The house wine was also very good, and the salad with chicken was fresh and crisp.

Walked in and loved how intimate the restaurant felt. It was a girlfriends dinner and this was a great spot. We started with the fried calamari. I paired the Kendall Jackson Chardonnay with the Melanzane Parmigiana. That layered egg plant was delicious. My friends had the Lasagna and the Gamberi Alla Sorrento. We loved everything.

The atmosphere was great, the plating of the food was brautiful. The thelree color pasta "Bella Italia" was beautiful but kinda bland tasting. Gino's Stuffee Meatloaf was excellent! It was stuffed with goat cheese and spinach and coated in mushrooms and a sweet brown gravy sauce that was to die for.

My family and I came to this amazing, clean, delicious Italian ???????? food restaurant and had a wonderful experience. First time visiting San Antonio. Wasn’t very thrilled about other places we had already tried at the Riverwalk, but this tranquil, cozy place made it worthy of the 40 minute wait. The food is very authentic and super yummy. I loved my pasta ???? dish, the tiramisu was wonderful ????????. I thanked the owner personally because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you once again for the outstanding, quality care you put into everything you do from the excellent food, to the great service you provided us with❣️

I'm still sitting here after finishing this amazing meal! Very impressed and doesn't break the bank like other Italian restaurants. Amazing lunch specials! Can't wait to come back.

So far, this place gives off the Italian feel. From the delicious food to the interior decorations. Not to mention the music that they play. The lights are a little dim, so a good place to take your significant other out on a date to.
Remember to ask the waiter for your complementary bread and olive oil, red pepper, Parmesan cheese mix.

Sooo glad that we went back! It has been so long since I have been to this super cute little Alamo Heights gem. A quaint little place that you would never even know is there, until you have been there. I feel in love all over again! Atmosphere is great. People are great. And the food is super great! Definitely going to make this a regular stop again!
