My son's 16th birthday in a new state. The service was absolutely great, the quality of food was wonderful. The low cost compared to how good the food, service makes the experience almost too good to be true.
Had a great experience before the dinner rush. The rolls were warm, soft, and tasted fantastic to start. The 10 oz New York Strip was tender, juicy, and great taste and texture. Mac and cheese was a delicious complement as a side. Top 5 steaks I’ve had for sure. The tenderloin salad was good. So good that the salad wasn’t needed and should have got the steak instead. Waitress and service were excellent as well. Will definitely make another trip back.

I had dinner here while on a business trip after my hotel recommended this restaurant. Courtney was my server and she was super nice and attentive and made some great recommendations on the menu. I ordered the butterfly fried shrimp with mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. I know it sounds crazy but the food was so perfect that even the Caesar salad tasted like no other I have ever had before, full of flavor and enjoyable to the last bite. The main course was equally delicious and the drinks were spot on mixed. I don’t always take time to write a review but the Barn Door deserves my time to share my really impressive service and fantastic meal so others might take the time to come and enjoy it as much as I did!

Great service makes the food even better. I've sat at the bar each time and the service is top notch and have gotten the best pairing of wine with my steak each time. Steak come out the way you order it perfectly. Sides are good, but steaks define the meal. Definitely try the cheesecake and the peach cobbler and the dessert coffee drink is a must. I'll be back every time I'm in town.

Great steak and beer, good service, cozy place. It’s awesome to see the staff cooking your steak on the grill right in front of you.

Waitress was great. However, the place came highly recommended, but it missed. Food didn't have much taste. The chicken fried ribeye was mostly breading. It gets two stars because the grilled shrimp was amazing, the rest missed the mark.

Entrées and sides are awesome. Beer and wine selection is well above standard. Portions on entrées is generous. The starters have always been delicious, but feel a bit chincy compared to what you're given later. The desserts are lackluster, I wouldn't bother with them. The bar needs to be taught how to make a cocktail.
If you order dinner and a beer, you'll leave happy. Skip the extras.

I've driven by this place many times and finally decided to try it. Beware... it's popular. There's even a wait if you think you're beating the crowd by going at 5:00. The ceasar salad was excellent. A lot of steakhouse-type restaurants serve lame salads but not here. I got the chicken-fried ribeye and liked it. A tender great cut of meat that was flavorful and perfectly battered. The gravy wasn't my favorite (it's cream gravy but not white sawmill gravy I was expecting) but it was still good. The homemade yeast rolls (or if they're not homemade I was fooled) are delicious. The lackluster part of my meal was the twice-baked potato. It's about $4 extra and not worth a nickel. Mine looked like it was accidentally baked four or five times. And the filling was nothing special - not creamy, not flavored, just covered in a boatload of cheese with some imitation-tasting bacon bits. I waited on a refill for quite a while and didn't see my server often but I understand that these are tough times. I had a good enough experience to go back but am hoping it's better next time!

The cleanliness of this place is amazing. I even saw a server changing gloves to avoid cross contamination, which I never see in other places.
Service was also wonderful! The food was good. I did have to add some salt to my food, but I think it's better to have less than have too much. This would be a plus to some people watching their salt intake.
Food was a tad on the pricey side, but I don't mind if the employees are paid fairly.
Cheesecake with strawberries was great!
