Another Resturant recommended by family. We were looking for BBQ for a few days that didn’t taste like your traditional franchise food. This was the place we should have found day one. The brisket was excellent and moist. My mother is very picky about food, but finished everything on her plate lol. If you want real down home, great tasting BBQ with a nice outdoor eating option, this is is your place!
Sweet potato casserole is delicious. Definitely going back for some more. Brisket sandwich is moist and tender and I had to try the the frozen Hurricane. It's pretty good.

It’s going down. When you want delicious, slow cooked bbq and quick efficient service…Come here!!!! Even on a Sunday afternoon, after church, the staff is ready to serve you. My rib tips are succulent!!! I’m in love.

The food is awesome, has a kind of medieval ambiance.
Would recommend the meat. Pulled pork, ribs, came with a donut type bread, hush puppies, was so good.
Great place for meat eaters. Coleslaw excellent!!! Fries too
Definitely my destination when I’m craving ribs.

First time at Big Bib BBQ. Food is amazing! The were sold out of a few things so def recommend coming here and getting here early. As for my experience with the food. The brisket was juicy and loved the smoke ring around the meat. The size of the plate was well portioned with 2 sides. Can't really miss with the sides to be honest. Between a friend and I we tried all but the loaded baked potato casserole due to being sold out. Final remarks are if your in the area it's a must try.

Love finding a new place (new to me)... As we walked in we were beautifully greeted. The handicap space could be closer to the front door but it is close to the ramp that leads to the patio and then the front door. Our server and the trainee were so great, they actually point out where the trash recepicals are as well as the bathrooms. Nice touch when they find out its your first time in... They also bring you a little bowl of spicy chips... Don't share...look, this wasn't my cheapest lunch... Im blaming my hunger.. But I had a two meat plate, iced tea, potato salad and green beans so i could pretend I was eating healthy, and a banana pudding so I could know i wasnt eating healthy. The meats came dry but they have FOUR sauce choices at each table. I mixed the Big Bib one with the golden one. It was amazing. The ribs were not the meatiest but they were tender and juicy and delish. The spicy sausage wasn't THAT spicy for those tender eaters but man were they good. Great potato salad. Mustard style. The green beans turned out to be just slightly healthy, well because they were green beans, but I could have enjoyed a bowl of those and been happy. Little pieces of sausage in them took them to another level.... Ok now, the banana pudding.... This was so close to my mothers I was expecting someone to tell me I couldn't have the pudding till my room was cleaned.... A bit creamier though but it had the bananas and the vanilla wafers.. If this was a part of your past you need to make it a part of your future. We will all be back!

It's hard to review a place that has so much history because most people already know of the place.. but this is the place I go to for BBQ they have Koolaid on the menu so it's a no brainer for me! The ribs are always good the turkey is great juicy tender and not over smoked. The ribs tips are the bomb melt in your mouth tender. What I appreciate with BIg Bib they try to gourmet BBQ they keep it simple and do one Hella job of it! Always consistent!

I'm not sure if I left a review for this place. I can't seem to find it, but if I did who cares it is worth talking about twice. The brisket sandwich is absolutely amazing. I got it. Sliced not chopped and the house barbecue sauce is undeniably one of the best I've ever had. The people are exactly what I expect. Down home. Wonderful people. I can't stress enough that you have to stop there. One small bit of advice. Definitely get the small sweet tea. You know the old cliche everything's bigger in Texas. Well they're right. The small sweet tea is plenty and it's delicious

Food: A1 excellent. Service: not so much. Ordered ribs, beans, and sweet potatoes. Received potato salad instead of beans. When I pointed out their mistake, they tried to insinuate that I forgot what I ordered, then said they would bring the correct side dish out. But it never came. And since the server took their tip before bringing my food, there’s no motivation for them to check on my meal and make sure everything was OK. Also pretty sure that none of the customers have come in and tried to take their guns. Must be a Texas thing to live in constant fear of gun control. One visit was enough for me.

Traveling through San Antonio and we stopped at this BBQ place. The worker who helped us was very friendly and helpful. The food tasted amazing and we waited no more than 5 minutes for our food. They had an indoor and outdoor dining. The weather was perfect so we ate outdoors. They had restrooms for those dining outdoors. I first thought restrooms outside gross, but that was not the case. They had an indoor restroom towards the back of the facility. The restrooms smelled good and were very clean. You can tell the owners take pride in this restaurant. If you live in town or just passing through; I recommend you stop and taste their bbq.
