Second(?) Longest bar in Texas. Might be the darkest Bar in Texas. Was in town for business staying near this place. Saw it out my window so I decided to check it out. Drinks are priced fair and the bartender was pleasant and knowledgeable. Other customers were pleasant. The Food is good, typical pub fare. check this place out.

The focus here is a bar, the food is good but the main reason to go is it being a bar. They have a massive selection of spirits and a good selection of beers. The have good local craft brews as well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was cooked to order and was very tasty. The establishment was well organized and decently clean. If I looking for a quality drink, this is where I will go.

If you ever wanted to go back in time this is the place! Nostalgic atmosphere here is awesome. The lighting was all old school, even with oil lamps on the tables. Very niche. After eating we enjoyed some drinks that just blended in with the setting. Staff was on point. Great experience.

I wanted a bison burger and fried pickles. They said they didn't have fried pickles, no big deal. I ordered the fried cheese which was good. But I got back to the hotel room and it was a beef burger, not a bison burger. The food was okay, but tainted by double disappointment.

I would give this place a zero if I could. Not only did they take over an hour to bring us our food, we can barely hear, it’s extremely dim inside and by the time the food actually came out, my chicken burger is completely burnt on one side and pale on the other, the fries are burnt too. The waiter didn’t even check on us often either. We had 3 kids and 5 adults. We couldn’t even finish the meal. It was a terrible experience. You’d think they’d want to serve our food quickly so we can get out of the restaurant with the kids. We were all getting impatient because the food was taking long!

The Esquire is amazing!!! The drinks are fantastic and the menu rotates often, they don't short you on the alcohol at all, so the drinks are well worth the price. I had the Pazole Verde Soup and it was amazing perfect spice and flavor. The chili salt fries also perfectly seasoned and the cumin aioli was so good and unexpected. The owner was our server which made it a unique experience and he was very honest in his recommendations.

This is a really cool bar and tavern located right off the river walk. We had a few drinks and some dinner. My wife had the shrimp and grits and they were the best she had. I dont usually eat grits but they tasted good to me. I had a blt sandwhich it was good but not great. I would eat here again

BAD!!!!!!! it was busy and I wanted to place a to go order but it almost felt like I was glass and they couldn't see me. I ordered a $8 virgin Pina colada that once I got back to the hotel realized tasted like plain lemonade (a 12 Oz cup with a lot of ice????), $16 for a tasteless cheeseburger and yes I asked for no tomatoes or lettuce but that was not gonna make the difference... turned out it didn't come with a side so I had to pay an extra $8 to get these old fries and not even ketchup in the bag!!! Everything was bad about this place! Do not waste your money!

I had a good pulled pork sandwich. It was thick with tender meat and some pickles. Sliced seasoned carrots on the side. Fries are extra. Service was great. Lunch (it was Friday) was served on the balcony upstairs. Nice view of the Riverwalk.

Very unique, cozy atmosphere. Been there felt like being in a 1800’s tavern. It’s a little dark but it’s part of the experience.
The table had a Vermont lantern which was very cool. The wood tables, the decorations, the bar, everything was antique. It’s a place you really want to go at least once.
The food was good, the drinks were really good and the service was great even though the restaurant was packed.
It’s on the river walk so it’s perfect to go eat, have some drinks and walk after just to see bars and restaurants there.
I will definitely go back!
