This place is trash. We waited and waited... I finally went looking for someone and found them sitting and talking to a party of 9. I asked how much longer we were going to have to wait and her reply was "we'll be there when we can." They don't care about their customers. Will not try again will not recommend. Garbage service.
This place is sadly not the same as it used to be. Another person commented on the smell and I have to agree. Though I think the restaurant smelled like urine. We got there right after their opening hours to an empty parking lot and locked doors. We had to knock to be let in even though they were open. The waitress and chef were nice. For the price paid, the portion was alright but the food was just not great. The steak, scallops, and shrimp were all well overcooked. I think I'll just resort to remembering how it used to be THE place for nice occasions versus attempting to eat here again.

I’m 40 and I have been going there since I was a small child. I love it and I’m glad it still looks the way it did since I was little. The food is great . Give it a try.

I was very excited about trying this new restaurant that I found, the photos of the restaurant didn't look that bad. So I decided to give it a try w my family.. . But I was very disappointed, It was very old and dirty. Not busy at all and well we still waited for 2 hours before start eating. The prices doesn't include the rice. Most of the prices $23.99, 24.99, 25.99 for combination chicken/shrimp, steak /chicken etc + $3.50 extra charge for the rice in a small bowl + the drink + they add 15% tip gratuity to all the tickets even if is 2 o 3 people eating. The service was not the best, the food was ok but I don't think I'll be going back. This place needs to get remodel and better service. I have to give 1 ⭐.

I'm not really sure what they do here because everytime I go in a waitress stops me at the door and ask me what I need and one time I even showed up to drink iced tea and they told me that they didn't have tea and that they only serve spirits so I am confused about this place. The decorations are ok but the place is filthy

I ate here once as a kid (25 or so years ago) and it was a special occasion so when a friend wanted to go for her birthday last week. I thought it’d be fun. Big mistake. Yelp has only two and a half stars for a reason. How it had four stars on google ill never know. Because my friend invited her large family I did not feel comfortable just walking out before we sat down. The place smells horrible. Think mildew and grandma’s house smell. The place was just DIRTY! I was cringing the whole time. How do they pass health department inspections I’ll never know. Someone is getting a brib to pass the inspections. We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. My conclusion is the only way they stay in business is that they are
Laundering money thru the business. Thank the lord I did not get food poisoning.

The wait is terrible. We were seated right away. But they didn't start cooking the food for 1 hr 15 min. It's kinda dirty and dingy. But the food was good. We walked in the front door and stood there for at least 5 min with no one even greeting us. The place is dead, not busy at all. But wait is way over stretched

Hibachi chef looked tired and dirty. Vent hoods and griddle was caked with grease. Food was inconsistent. Steak was cold in areas, burned in others. Will wait awhile before going back.

Love this restaurant. The menu is pricey but the chef cooking your meal right in front of you is well worth it. BJ is a great chef and very entertaining. The place offers sushi as well.
