Great place to drop by and fill your belly before grocery shopping. Their brisket and beans are so delicious. They have reasonable individual servings, without paying by the pound.

What can I say, HEB does it again. Just when I thought I could not love them any more, they go and create this gem. I have been to some of the top rated bbq in Texas, but this place takes the cake. One of the best in the biz.........

Pleasantly surprised how ridiculously good this BBQ was. The brisket and ribs were super tender. And the loaded cornbread with brisket was so good and sinful. I need to run an extra 30 minutes after eating that! Plus the cherry cobbler was so perfectly warm, sweet and yummy!

Giving 1 star only because every single time I come, they never have ice, no forks, and no sauce. The food on the other hand is fabulous. Just wished they could keep up with the rest so we don’t have to drink warm drinks, no bbq sauce with my brisket, and definitely don’t want to eat with my hands. Once I come in and they have everything, then I’ll change my stars.

Pros: The service, prices, and food are great!
Con: Heb uses the weakest buns for their sandwiches which is disappointing considering they have some great bread/buns in store.
Otherwise I’d recommend the brisket baked potatoes, any desserts, and any sides!

Some of the best BBQ you can get around here for a decent price as well! It's a place you wouldn't really expect to be serving such a good BBQ meal. But they somehow manage to do just that. Do yourself a favor and stop on by. My personal favorite is the pulled pork sandwiches. They are very good but I like to add a little more BBQ sauce tho. Overall a great place to eat.

I kept hearing people brag about the food being so good, better than some of the top bbq places in town, so I decided to try it out, it was delicious. The brisket, the Turkey and the smoked chicken. The brisket beans were phenomenal like nowhere else. To top it off, the peach and cherry cobbler were on point.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the brisket is here. Excellent smoke flavor, bark, tender and juicy. Everything you can ask for in a brisket. Hat's off to the pitmaster, trying the turkey next time cause I'll definitely be back!

I really enjoy heading out to True Texas BBQ for some outstanding meats and sides. To compliment the BBQ, True Texas offers a great variety of outstanding Craft Beer. Don't forget that on Tuesday's the craft beer is $2.00. Only on Fridays, the dinosaur beef ribs are available for $23. What a deal!!! The restaurant is very relaxing and the staff is very attentive. I highly recommend this BBQ joint which seems to be the most underated in SA.

Pleasantly surprised the BBQ is good. Our favorite was the turkey sandwich, Mac n cheese and the cobblers! They have a lot of tea options which is nice too. The brisket was just alright.
