I'm pretty sure I might be the only one to lead with this - but the grilled cheese w/ bacon and fries is above average. Considering the number of late nights (and painful next morning's) I've had at Rainbow - there's no better people watching / relaxed vibe than an afternoon cocktail and lunch on the patio. Sometimes you're just watching the world go by, and bam - Ben Stein comes in to pick-up a pizza, or back in the day - Lemmy would walk by you on the way to the washroom when taking a break from the video lottery terminal. A day or night here is necessary for any fan of rock and roll. But seriously... that grilled cheese, though.
Very cool restaurant/bar. Plenty of seating both inside and outside on their patio. The patio has fireplaces and lanterns to keep warm. I went on a Thursday night and there was a live band playing upstairs. I only got drinks but the food that was coming out looked good and their food menu is extensive. They also have Keno!

This is only my 3rd time here since moving to CA, but it already feels like home. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The barstaff are attentive and quick. We had the calamari appetizer brought to our little table right by Lemmy's statue. It's cozy and the crowd is generally really nice.
When I was paying attention, they played Slayer, Maiden and Ozzy. If you're into NWOBHM and thrash, you'll feel right at home.

A true piece of rock and roll history! The food was amazing. The staff had cool stories and the walls speak for themselves. A definitely must see if visiting the area. You won't be disappointed you did so!!

On my bucket list was to visit the famous rainbow bar and grill which I've now done. Amazing place steeped in years of rock n roll history. Great atmosphere and the chicken burger and fries were delicious

It was awesome to finally be able to see the rainbow and enjoy a few drinks. Our Utes didn’t win the rose bowl over those pesky Buckeyes, but it was a great time overall.

Its The Rainbow. If you like rock music then it's an absolute must visit. Iconic joint, first visit was 1990, three decades later it's still home.
Oh yeah, we are lunch. Chili was great and I had bacon cheeseburger that was great, too. Great selection of beer, just a must go to place.

Avery is fantastic. Ask for her for a great experience. The chicken soup was really good. The clam chowder was good and the pizza was off the hook. Really nice vibe. I went at 2 pm so there was no one there. Had the place all to myself. Apparently there is a lot going on at night. If u want a lot of action and a live band go in the PM.

Love love love the atmosphere like nowhere else!!
I ordered fried calamari (was the best). Im from the 80’s all legends, bands, musicians, actors, and actress from that time and earlier been here.
For the latest generation must need to see it’s like a little music historic place with food and drink
Menu simple, very good, and price is also great.
