Do your tongue a huge 'F(L)AVOR' when you are in Tempe.
The only thing better than the brisket, is Kristine and her crew's service. The brisket sandwich I had for lunch, oh I was full for sure. But the rest of the day, I flat out craved more. So... I went for dinner too! Just go, you'll know.
I will see you there soon.

If you’re from the south, you will not like it!!! I order brisket sandwich and peach cobbler. It taste like they use cinnamon roll for the crust for the peach cobbler. The brisket sandwich was on a sweet bun. I prefer Texas toast or just sandwich bread. This is definitely not good.

Me and my coworkers just came here for lunch, it was 10/10. The sauce? *french kiss* The corn bread? Taste just like home, and the Ribs/Rib tips and Pulled prk, mouthwatering. Literally everything fell off the bone, juicy good. PLEASE TRY IT! We will be back! My friend loved the Rib Tip sandy so much! He said its the best he's ever had.

I've been going to Hap's since 1996, when they were using a trailer on 24th St. and Washington. I know the family well. Their picture is on my den's "wall of fame".
I was traveling between my sold home and my new home and stopped in today.
I got the rib tips with hot sauce and a chicken sandwich also with hot sauce. I had the rib tips for dinner. As usual, tender perfectly smoked meat and excellent hot sauce taste.
Tomorrow's lunch will be the chicken sandwich.
One of the best BBQ places around the Phoenix area.

P.S. Hi Barb !!!
Update 01/28/22 : rib tips 5 stars

The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and personable! She deserves 5 stars. They must have some regulars here because she knew several of the customers that came in by name.
Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of the meat. I had the meat sampler that included 2 ribs, 2 pieces of chicken, and then I chose hot links, brisket and lamb.
They home made a special lamb sauce that was excellent. But the lamb itself did not taste good.
The other meats varied from greasy to under seasoned. I just wasn't a fan compared to other bbq places I've been to.
I likely won't be back, but clearly some people are liking it from the loyal clientele. I'd suggest trying this place for yourself.

Arge and Al are a winning combo in service and quality. A shame I live in Peoria now. It was worth the drive. The food is always on point, and every bite is a Mouthgasm.???? I said it, and I mean it.???? Found this place shortly after coming down from Payson. THIS is what Az Bbq is all about. Start here, and good luck with the wannabes.????????????????????????????????✌????

This was the best BBQ we have had! Pulled pork Tennessee style was outstanding! I could eat the beans by the gallon but that wouldn't be good for anyone ????! My son sucked the rib bones dry, and my husband took off his shirt to eat his brisket sandwich. I will spare you all that photo! If you are in Phoenix or just passing thru make sure you hit Hap's Pit Barbecue.

Love this place! Since I discovered this spot I eat here at least 2-3x a week when I crave it. I come for the brisket sandwich or the rib tips. Seasoned meat ????

Hap's is a must try if you're ever in Phoenix. The BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy. I always get the rib tips. I tried the potato salad and it complimented the ribs. Yum.

Been here couple of times and everything was delicious: great portion, taste was good (BBQ sauce could be less tangy). Friendly Customer service and clean toilet so you can wash your hands after all. ????
