Just what I would expect in East Texas, but not here in Phoenix. A perfect roadhouse style restaurant. The decor is cool, the ambiance lively and the staff are really personable. The food we had was perfect Texas! Smoked Prime rib, tender, great smoke flavor and cooked perfectly, Mashed potatoes and an extremely delicious, a perfect gravy. Fried Okra cooked just past done made it really crispy. We also had the catfish which was crispy on the outside and very juicy inside. I will be making many trips back.

Family supper! I went with the Rib dinner special; 4 ribs, choice of two sides and bread. I went with the corn salad and mashed potatoes and gravy. I regret nothing about my decision and look forward to goi g back for more.

So good! A taste of Texas right here in Az. BEST indoor wall and ceiling decor which takes me back to my younger days growing up the Lone Star State. Fried okra, dinner salad, crispy fish and potatoes alongside cole slaw, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, all served with biscuits with honey butter. A menu with something for every palate. Please make sure to leave room for pecan pie and ice cream!

We had a party of 5. First time there for all of us. I guarantee it won't be our last time there!! The food was spectacular!! My steak was the Best I think I have ever had!! The staff was phenomenal, pleasant, and just nice!! I can't say enough good things about this place!!!

As a Texas Girl, I’m critical about chicken fried steak and this place nailed it on the head! Loved the food, the vibe and our server was super nice and helpful when ordering. This place made me feel a little closer to home especially with the huge portion sizes!!

Yum delicious smoky prime rib. Soft biscuits. Crunchy salads and creamy dressing. Mashed potatoes like mom's with the best white gravy. Lots of things on the walls eye candy. Great and speedy service.

I'm from Texas and I've searched long and hard for the best Chicken Fried Steak in Phoenix and this is the place! Established in 1985 and the decorations and interior is awesome. Huge portions and great prices, highly recommended! Yum!

Portions were huge, food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because I think the chicken fried steak while the breading was crisy and the cube steak tender, I think it was under seasoned. The mashed potatoes while delicious could have been hotter. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would return.

First time visiting and I really had a great time!
Sat at the bar, watched a sporting event and enjoyed large food portions. I started with the breaded shrimp, friend okra and rolls/biscuits. Followed by a 16oz ribeye steak with mash potatoes/ gravey and a side of corn. Good service and great (old school feel) atmosphere. They also can accommodate families or large parties. If you are in the mood for some good old fashion cooking, you must try out Texaz Grill. Hope everyone has a chance to visit this establishment.????

Joui was an awesome server! Hospitality and atmosphere is top notch!
The food was fantastic! I had Chicken Fried Goodness (I was so excited about the food, I forgot to take a picture). Amazing ... I liked the pork chop the best. Mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect(they use red potatoes). I cannot say enough except don't plan on a low cal meal.
