Incredible delicious food. The peach flavored ice tea taste like I was drinking a peach cobbler. The smothered pork chops were tender, the corn bread was sweet and moist. I can wait until I back in the area to grab some more of this great food.

Me and my family just left this place and it was amazing. We didn’t even make it to the door before we were greeted by our server. She was very sweet and timely even though she expressed she was new to serving but worked there a while.
Now the food was top tier soul food. Every bite was better then the last and I used 0 sauces for my Turkey chops. Didn’t need it! Turning to the ambiance, it was great to look at the history around the room from celebrities to activists. Random; the bathroom is amazing I love the details stayed in there longer just looking around.
Thank you so much for a amazing experience. I never felt so at home. Until next time ❤️

Waitress didn't refill our glasses or check on us, however the 2 guys did, they were awesome. Cashier was funny, I think she was new, so I hope she maintain her cheerful attitude. Food was great and great portions. - Pensacola FL

Food is mediocre at best. I am used to good-tasting soul food. The dressing was Stovetop Stuffing. The turkey wing was undercooked on one side. The cornbread was too sweet. I don't have to go back again. The customer service was GREAT.

Its sad used to be so good but now the charge a lot and skimp on the meat. Ox tail dinner had 2 small ox tails and a lot of bones in gravy. Short ribs had no bones and was just a few tough pieces of meat in gravy.pork chops was thin as napkins. Nothing had flavor but the dressing and greens. It was bland. If u closed your eyes you couldn't tell what u were eating cause nothing had flavor. So sad used to be one of the best.

I was really in the mood for some good soul food today but it just seems hard to find around here.
The good: good service, and I’d give the catfish a 4 to be nice, also liked the dressing. Mac is edible but nothing special.
The bad: rice and gravy is trash, absolutely horrible. Bland and waterlogged like they didn’t drain the rice water. Cornbread also very bad, dry, hard and not edible. Shed a tear throwing out the cornbread ????

Popped into this place randomly for lunch after a google for food near me. The family who runs the restaurant all works there and we were greeted sweetly on the way in and out. The fried chicken was GREAT. Seved hot, crispy, and flavorful. Sweet yams and savory Mac. Great tasting greens. All around a great service and great meal.

Took at least 20 minutes to make my food I set outside waiting in the car which is cool but when I got my food the fried chicken was flavorless, dry , and raw . The rice and gravy had zero seasoning and was disgusting, and my yams taste like they were canned and then sugar to it .TBH i was scared to even eat my banana pudding so I trashed it . The corn bread was a hit but they didn’t even have the decency to warm it up just gave it to me cold lol , the kool aid was straight but not worth my $30 so thanks to the crook for stealing my money BUYERS BEWARE !!

They didn't have food available only 3 items. Wasnt happy with the food at all. Had too eat my porkchop with my hand because they had plastic utensils. Grave was way too think, mac was too sweet, potato salad too tangy. No sodas available only tea and kool aid. Didnt bother too ask about deserts so all around disappointed. Never been too a restaurant that served you in too go containers.only plates they used was for the corn muffins which was the only items i finished ????????????????????????????????????. Yah not a happy camper. My friend payed for the meal.
