Employee MARIA IS RUDE
She has English comprehension problems. When you ask to speak to someone else, she gets irrate. Then states that there is no one else working with whom I could speak. Maria is arrogant, and she has poor communication skills.

With The Covid Plague that was created to hit all nations and tongues for competitive advantages of the few, this is one place that magically survived closure unlike our previous local pizza place. Luckily we found and tried it and definitely has become a family favorite in our books... well our hearts,.. well our soul.

Los Angeles has the best restaurants to support during the current lock down. The restaurant owners are so grateful for your business.

This little hole-in-the-wall place is a gem. Once you try it, you will fall in love.

I ordered a 14" (medium) Calabrese pizza. It was indeed good. Very good. I haven't tried any of their other pizzas yet, but judging from that one they do seem to be one of the best pizza places in Los Angeles. The pizza managed to have a light taste and a high quality taste (a fine restaurant taste) even though they put too much cheese on the pizza. So how could it still have tasted light with all that cheese? Well, despite all that cheese, it did taste light, and all that cheese didn't quite make it heavy. Hard to explain. But next time I'm getting a pizza from them, I'm going to make sure to tell them to put less cheese (it was good quality mozzarella, but too much). Too much like that isn't healthy. And while overall it was not a greasy pizza, the cheese was quite greasy, but the grease didn't penetrate into the rest of the pizza below, so my hands didn't get much greasy, just slight. The service was good. The place is alright, a small place, I felt at ease there. I was chillin'. It was alright. The main reasons I came here were because it was in the neighborhood, it was casual, and they are said to be one of the best pizza places in L.A. It seems to be true. Next time if I go on my own again, I'm ordering a 10" instead of a 14". But before I left, I asked for a box to take the rest with me, and she gave me a smallish container (but I made the slices fit without messing them up) and I took the two remaining slices home and ate them the next day, reheated. No indigestion to report. Didn't feel bloated, didn't feel yucky. The pizza went down well. I went on Thursday and I put this review the following Monday.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years. It’s not a fancy place. It’s a very neighborhood place. Tiny interior full of outsized charm. Staff is professional. Food is consistent. I sometimes bring my well traveled friends here. They love how unpretentious the food and atmosphere are.

Not sure I believe the claim that all their ingredients are imported from Italy but it definitely tastes amazing so they are doing something right. The carnavale pizza is what I tried with the ricotta stuffed crust and it was just amazing. Calling in advanced before you arrive is definitely recommended since this place is getting packed during busy eating hours. Lots of decent parking as well and the staff is friendly as can ever be!

Great little place. Food is excellent, better than any fancy Italian restaurant anywhere. The servers try to smile as much as they can. The prices are better than its competition. You can watch your orders being cooked. Try it, no regrets.
Update: I originally had 5 stars, but now it's just 2 stars. The food is still pretty decent, but the server was just not into it. She did not bring over the bread until we pretty much finished the meal, half burnt and not enough. So I asked her politely soon after, if she could bring us another batch of bread. There were four of us, with two children. She says, "I'll have to charge you $1.50." Now, what about the excuse that she was so swamped that she forgot to bring us the bread? Also, what about the half of the bread being burnt? Now, the amount of bread she brought to our table of four was same as the amount of bread she gave to another table of two. What's wrong with this picture? She doesn't care! I told her to keep her bread! I also plan not to return to this place anymore, since the server treats the customers like we are nothing but an ATM machine. Since she forgot the bread, shouldn't we get a discount for $1.50? Either train this server better, or this place is going to lose some serious customer like us! We have been coming here for years since it opened. Well, I think it's time to go elsewhere where we will be appreciated more, like a customer. Well, btw, the prices are not as competitive anymore. And with the service like this to a long time customer, namely myself, this place is going down, which is too bad...
