The Dim Sums are good taste though one dish- steamed rib pork dim sum was too old & hard. They were accommodating enough to change to a different dish. Overall speaking it’s ok Dim Sum restaurant on the expensive side!

Missing some elements of more traditional dim sum restaurants, but surprisingly delicious. Fantastic if not expecting true authenticity. Tofu skin roll with chicken and shrimp as well as the radish cake with diced ham were favorites of the meal. Menu could use more pictures.

Very quick and attentive service,
Well priced items for their portion sizes. Highly recommend going for lunch, not too busy and discounted prices!
We got the chicken friend rice, veggie spring rolls, and bbq pork buns! All were exceptional and we went home with leftovers! They have a great set up for take out as well with a separate pick up entrance. We will be back soon!

Came here for my daughter’s graduation lunch. Everything about their customer service is great. They were accommodating with our size reservation. We actually we advised to email them a list of what we wanted to order. Super great move. When we arrived… our orders just started coming out. We also had one of the rooms off to the side. We had 4 smaller children in our group, so that was super helpful with keeping them from bothering other people. The food isn’t top notch… but is pretty good. I’d come back if I were in the area and preferred not to wait for a table or not wait too long vs waiting a upwards of 45 mins elsewhere. Like I said… food is good… not quite taste explosion though.

An absolutely wonderful dim sum experience good enough to share. Exceptional quality and speedy service in a lo-fi, trendy space. Fried rice to die for.

We came here around noon, 5 minutes after they open, I love dim sum here, they are just huge and juicy! The place was a bit dark, I’d prefer to sit near the window but those tables were occupied! The waitress who served our table were nice and friendly! Nothing to complain about!

At Bao Dim Sum House, there were some items that I tired that were fantastic and very impressive.
I liked the egg drop soup, since it has a lot of egg, and was quite dense, rather than a soup that has barely any egg and is runny. The shrimp har gow was very delicious, small sized, shrimp wontons. The egg tarts were fantastically well done, with a very flaky exterior and a smooth pudding like interior that is quite sweet in flavor. The sweet pork is also very flavorful and mostly lean meat with very small amount of fat.

Dim Sum classics for lunch in Beverly Grove
Hargow, crispy calamari, crispy shrimp rolls, and egg tarts to round out an unbalanced meal.
I came in early at the start of lunch but it filled up quickly.

Bao Dim Sum boasts that they bring authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum to the west-side in a chic but old-world atmosphere that's perfect for family dining and dates, yes they do!
I have been obsessed with dim sum these past few weeks so when I was invited to go to this trendy restaurant in the heart of Hollywood, there was no way I was going to say no.
Reservations are a must or plan on waiting for a table, we got there without reservations, on a Saturday around 3:00 and had a 20 minute wait so I can only imagine the wait time for lunch or dinner.
Bao Dim Sum offers a variety of traditional dishes from Bao to dumplings, they even have chicken feet! Parking is limited and expect to park on the streets with meter parking. Boa Dim Sum offers drinks in a bar setting however we forego'd the drinks.
We ordered the garlic string beans, they were perfect.
We also ordered the shrimp dumplings which were delicious! The shrimp dumplings had the perfect balance of shrimp to bamboo shoots. The only I had was the wrapping as when I used the chop sticks to pick up a dumpling, the shrimp separated from the wrapping, I was a little disappointed but also figured out a way to enjoy them together.
Just for a twist of ordering, we ordered the mixed vegetable bao's instead of the traditional bbq pork. I was with someone who doesn't tend to eat pork so we decided to try something different, I'm happy to have tried these vegetable bao's but I think next time I would go with the traditional pork.

Service was excellent and we were seated quickly (make a reservation ahead of time!). The server offered some of their personal favorites and most popular dishes which were all excellent. The soup dumplings were also to die for, but the highlight of my meal were the spicy shrimp & spicy chicken dumplings. We had been wanting to try this place for over a year and safe to say we will never go that long without coming here again!
