Great local place, the food is always solid. Highly recommend their bowls and curry. Great food, great service ❤️????

The ramen is what to get here. The quality of their ramen is much better than the place looks. Rich and flavorful, better than most nice looking ramen places you'll find in LA. It seems like there's just one grumpy guy working in there, but he makes some ramen magic.

phenomenal food. but I do want to give a heads up:
the links on their website to order food online are all broken. and they don't answer their phone most of the time. if you go during lunch hours you'll find the lights off, the "closed" sign hung up, the chairs on the tables and no one inside. you also have to pull the door extremely hard, you'll think it's locked if you don't. there is always only one man working/hiding inside and he always asks why you're in his restaurant in a confused/annoyed tone, then tries to convince you not to order food. he'll say things like "it's very busy" or "it'll take an hour" or "we are out of food." honestly, do not believe any of it, just order anyway and he'll angrily take your money and make you some of the very best food in los angeles, I'm not kidding.
just wanted to let everyone know what the deal is with this special place so you don't miss out!

It may not look like much from the outside but the prices for the ramen were unbelievably cheap for being on Sunset. I cant believe it's all run by one guy--please stop by and support his business! The taste was STUPENDOUS. I seriously cannot stop thinking about the bowl I had... My friend introduced me to this place and I think I'm hooked! I hope to come back soon... seriously ridiculous cheap prices considering it's in like WEHO… don’t expect the nicest place but take what you can get seriously… so so so good

This place is AMAZING. We ended up in here because the place we usually go across the street was closed. And this place is WAY better. What a happy accident. The spicy tonkatsu is so rich and deeply flavored. You can tell a lot of care goes in to the food.
If you’re near this place, go!!!

kimchi fried rice is one of my favorite items of the menu. I do recommend that you pay with your credit card because sometime they don’t have change for big bills.

It's a cute pan Asian cafe. The waitress can't understand you most of the time and you find yourself yelling your order (pointing didn't work as when you pointed she'd pick a completely different item). Sesame noodles was pretty bland and the musubi didn't taste like musubi??? Its texture was dry and the rice was not delicious. Decor is cute and pleasant. Cozy place and fills up quickly.

Delicious ramen shop! I've always gotten the spicy vegan miso and it's always been excellent! Just a warning, if you're going with a group they'll only split onto 2 cards per table so plan ahead.

FOOD: Premium Spicy Miso with Pork and Egg, Spam Musubi (munchies)
Once you get over the delicious aroma and the immaculate presentation, slurp up the goodness of the spicy miso! The Miso is SPICY, which is fantastic if you can handle it. Gosh, that Miso broth is to die for. I felt tempted to take my remaining broth home to pour over my instant noodle packets for the next day. Seriously, that good of Miso! The noodles are just the right size, not too thick or thin and the pork was masterfully seasoned. They add a soft boiled egg, which was not necessary and didn't add much to the already tasty dish. If you've got the munchies, order the Spam Musubi. They are the daintiest version of spam musubi I've tried, looking like a fancy hors d'oeuvre, but yummy nonetheless.
DESSERT: Chibi toast
I had seen the beautiful pictures, but wasn't sure of the actual taste. Literally tastes like deep fried, buttered french toast. The toast comes with an assortment of fresh fruit (mango, strawberries, and kiwi) as well as matcha ice cream and whipped cream. The dessert takes 20 minutes to prepare, so if you're interested, order with your entrees. It is very different and I appreciate a change from creme brûlée or other generic desserts.
DRINKS: Crystal Blue Lemonade and Honeydew Milk Tea
Both drinks are well made and served in cute mason jars. If you're avoiding dairy, try the lemonade which is highly refreshing. For my dairy drinkers, you can choose your milk tea with whole, regular, or silk milk and the honeydew is a nice touch.
ATMOSPHERE: 5 Stars
No sooner than we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted right away and got to choose any table. The restaurant uses its limited space very wisely with a bench seat running against the wall and a long counter. There are several tables in the middle and cute decorations. Korean music videos in the background will keep you entertained while you wait for the food.
Yes, it's true, Hollywood offers a great deal of highly rated restaurants, but this place definitely is a serious contender!
