The orange chicken and lo mein we’re really good and not too sweet like some places can make them. It’s exactly what you’d want if you’re missing typical Chinese buffet food

My partner and I have ordered from this place over 10 times and the food is always good. Prices are appropriate and quantity generous. Taking one star off because one time we did get sick from eating here, but overall this place offers good Chinese takeout.

The first time I ate from this restaurant, I enjoyed the food. However, this time around, the food was hardly edible. I ordered the fried rice with orange chicken and salt and pepper wings. When it arrived, everything was stale and over cooked. The orange chicken was so hard and had absolutely no sauce on it. The chicken wings were bland and also super hard. The rice was bland and overcooked. I'm not sure how this place has 4 stars. I couldn't even finish my meal.

Im used to South Central and Long Beach flavored Chinese food this one is kinda bland but omg! I’m new to the area and I can’t believe everyone likes it. Unfortunately going back

Ridiculous how I spend $50 worth on food and cannot even get the amount of hot sauce that I need they want to say they already put two in there...
6 little packs is not gonna brake ya business lean to stop being greedy because I know I will never return.....
Order of Honey nut shrimp House rice two plates and side of barbecue pork only want to give me six packets of hot sauce

The food was so good, including the prices. Much better than "Panda Express," actually. No jokes, so I'm here to tell you is that I'm quite impressed for what the workers did at the restaurant. And, I'd recommend this for you if you're here to eat good Chinese foods. Period.

This was my first time at Chinatown Express. They seem to get a lot of business, I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice it was ok just didn't care for the sauce mixture.
Management was very pleasant.

Came here after work for dinner and all I can say is the food is amazing. It's yummy and affordable. The service is also great. The lady in the front is super friendly and accommodated all my orders. Would definitely come back!

Best affordable food in town. The portions are big and generous and the cashier and workers are so friendly. They really give you a lot for your buck and they are not shy with their portions. They are super clean, especially now with COVID-19 going on and all. They provide hand sanitizers to customers once they enter and are super careful when handling with money. Will definitely come again and continue to support them during this difficult time!

The low rating I give them is for the food quality. Tried two different menu plates here, two different times. Not good. I suggest you go eat elsewhere, unless you want a quick trip or two to the restroom. Put like 3 bucks more and you can go eat at a Thai restaurant or Korean restaurant or Chinese restaurant if you want Asian, instead of this fast food that isn't healthy or done right. If you want fast Asian food, go to Panda Express. Not sure about the Chinatown Express on Western Ave, haven't been there in years.
