It’s very authentically pleasing but the food is very basic and the bottle was flat, I would like to go back and try another dish to truly give a more realistic review because it was not a pleasant experience this last time to errors in my order. However they did have a live di playing. Music to set the move, they also did have a free wine tasting.

REALLY GOOD PIZZAAA ???????????????? @delanonna_la
This fun Italian spot is based in DTLA’s Arts District. It fits in SO well to arts district’s vibe as this pizza place has a great ambiance and is super trendy.

????Ordered:
1. Pepperoni pizza with spicy honey
2. Market fresh pizza (changes seasonally) with corn, ricotta & basil
3. Whipped eggplant with toasted focaccia

The pepperoni was my favorite as the saltiness from the meat was cut by the spicy and sweet honey ???????? honestly hot honey is now a must for pizzas in my life!! The square pie here is thick and chewy but perfectly crispy on the outside, it’s so satisfying!!! I love this place so much I can’t wait to come back!!!
My only gripe with this place is that since each pizza is baked fresh, the wait time for the dishes was LONGG so don’t come really hungry like I did ????

????Price:
$19/pizza & $14 for appetizer

The patio is just beautiful, everyone is super nice and the food is delicious. Pizza was not what I expected but great in a different way, soft, higher, well composed with many fresh ingredients.

It's incredibly difficult to find parking in the Arts District so I'm not going to hold them against that but they do have a valet for $15.
Now for the food:
- Caesar salad: 3/5 there was a taste that I'm not vibing or used to, however, the portion is pretty hefty.
- Pepperoni Pizza: 5/5!!! Pro: one of the best pan pizzas around SoCal. Con: that I have to drive and find parking when I crave it LOL and also their spicy honey is extra.
- Zeppole: 5/5!!! Holy mother of %[#*+! It's airy, crispy, fresh, and the chocolate is stupidly good in the most positive way. Con: it does take a while to prepare so that means if there are a lot of people getting it (as they should) you'll wait about 20-25 mins.
Great sit down place overall if you are not in a rush!

The decor is great. The food on the other hand is ok. My pizza was burnt and too crispy. The desserts are good too and the only reason they got an extra star.

Really pleasant indoor/outdoor spaces. Great staff interaction. The mid-week Nonna special of two pizzas, Caesars Salad, and a bottle of wine is a deal for $70. The pepperoni and the mushroom pizzas were delicious. Definitely a place to frequent. Please open for lunch!!!

De la Nona has immaculate vibes (live DJ anyone?), a great crowd, and good pizza. This is not thin crust pizza. It’s thick and heavy and oh so greasy. I loved the white pizza and pepperoni pizza. So much dill on everything. The Caesar salad was a crowd favourite as well. And while I didn’t try it, you can’t go wrong with a frozen aperol spritz.

Was excited to try their deep dish but left a bit disappointed. The sausage & peppers pizza was VERY salty. The sausages were salty to begin with, but the parmesan contributed to that and unfortunately the two combined would have satisfied a cow's salt lick.

Was looking forward to trying their eggplant caponata, which ended up being good, but nothing to write home about. At $12, you'd expect it to be exquisite. Unfortunately, I've whipped up more flavorful variations in my home kitchen.

Their oysters, however, were very fresh and good. We ordered a half dozen of their west coast, and half dozen of their east coast options. The prosecco mignonette was a bit too sweet for my liking and somewhat detracted from the oyster's flavor, but the calabrian cocktail sauce was delish.

Portion-wise, was perfect for two people. Their blonde and dark beer options were solid. The kitchen staff, despite handling a bustling Saturday night, were champs. Our server was attentive and a gem. The pizza took quite awhile though, although I imagine that's due to the thicker crust's cooking time. ‍

The live music was amazing. DJ Lanilove was spinning the night we were there and she killed it with some amazing beats for a Saturday night. The venue is fantastic and their outdoor patio will be sure to delight on a summer's evening.

Valet parking is avail, but we opted for street parking (plentiful, but a bit of a challenge on busy weekends) and decided to go for cocktails at Death & Co afterwards, a short walk away.

Perhaps I'll come back and try one of their other pizza's another time along with their fresher offerings. The pepperoni pizza + honey the couple next to us ordered looked pretty darn good.

I loved this place! The atmosphere was perfect! Live DJ was awesome and the music was at a great volume and I could have a conversation with the people around me no problem. Food and service was wonderful! They have a unique wine list (especially if you like skin contact wines) and a few non-alcoholic options. Can’t wait to come back here! Parking took a while to find so leave yourself time to park if you don’t want to valet.
