Get your empanadas here!
Pay a little more for quality and bring cash. The owner Rocky is a kind man and is always nice whenever I bring friends to get a quick bite

Have frequented this place many years ago. Prices are considerably higher than I remember. The criolla empanada had a hard boiled egg. I don't remember having that in it... so I was a little disappointed. The chicken one was very good!

Great empanadas with assorted flavors. Big and filling. They place is nicely decorated. They have indoor and outdoor seating. All empanadas are fried when you order them. Everything is fresh. It's cash only. It's kind of pricey for snacks.

Heard about this place from a patient of mine. Has been going there since the 80s.
Great delicious and huge Empanadas. They are fried and crispy. They are made to order so they come out hot and fresh. I got the traditional Argentinian empanada the Criolla. It had beef, some raisins, hard boiled egg and seasonings.
The parking is at the front, green curb for 30 minutes. Which was convenient since they are on a busy street with a freeway entrance a few blocks away.
I would suggest to order ahead. It took about 15 minutes for mine to get ready since they only cook when you order.
People there are friendly. Will definitely come back and try their sandwiches.

Not cheap and not expensive and worth it!! They have at least five vegetarian flavors and dive meat flavors. We drive up, ordered, ready in 10 min!! Came with a tomato watery sauce with a mild kick. Yum!! My favorite veg flavor was either potato and cheese or spinach. Ricotta was savory sweet as they added roasted onions to play up the sweetness and mushrooms. I would say more sweet than savory. The crust was perfection all round. Been a year since I've been back and hope to go more often. They deserve all the praise and business and glad they are still her and surviving thru covid times!!

The criolla empanada, a typical traditional Argentinean empanada, may be the best one I’ve had so far. The taste of the ground beef in the filling is splendid. Also got the spicy chicken and the spinach with cheese which were great as well. The dough is nicely fried and they’re all made fresh. Only unfortunate thing is the chimichurri sauce is $5 for a small 4 oz serving. It’s also a lot saucier/wetter than other versions I’ve had, but it’s still pretty tasty and vinegary. Will come back to try the sandwiches sometime.

Nice cute little place. I found it good, but nothing exceptional or special. Empanadas had very thick skin, so very little stuffing. Yerba Mate was yerba Mate, nothing out of ordinary. So, it's good.

I went here for lunch on a friend's recommendation. I've lived in Palms for a long time and sometimes these hidden gems escape you. I've driven past this restaurant so many times yet I'd never even seen it. I'm glad my friend pointed it out to me, and I'm glad I popped in.
The entrance is unassuming, but just step inside and you're in a quaint Argentinean cafe with beautiful foliage, old-fashioned table cloths and flowers on all the tables. (I haven't even ordered yet!)
"It's Cash Only, It's Okay?" (sweet lady at the front counter)
I had to go grab some cash, but I did, I came back and ordered two empanadas and a cup of coffee. I tried the Criolla (ground beef, raisins, green onion, and spices), and the Ricotta (ricotta, mushrooms, and basil). I thoroughly enjoyed them both. I will definitely be back for more; these were expertly crafted empanadas. The coffee, which I enjoyed after, was good. And I don't know why he did it, but the gentleman who worked there brought me a little cookie to have with the coffee, and I'm so glad he did. I'd have never known the wonders otherwise, the cookie was a perfect accompaniment to the coffee. He said it was a dulce de leche caramel rolled in coconut.
