Phenomenal sushi. The restaurant is no frills and absolutely authentic, but with unique items & details that you can only find at Kenbey like the toro handroll with Japanese pickled radish or Sea Perch sushi. Don't pass on the Chef's Omakase, it's recommended to enjoy with bar seating and a 10/10.

So happy to have them in the neighborhood! Beautiful, top notch sushi and Japanese food with warm service and an intimate setting. Great rotating selections of sake and the lunch specials are all delicious. ????????

Had the absolute pleasure of enjoying the omakase at Kenbey Sushi. Each item had a stunning and very thoughtful presentation, the flavors and textures were delightful and interesting. The staff was kind and attentive. I do recommend making a reservation as it’s an intimate restaurant. Can’t wait to enjoy a meal here again!

The East side’s best kept secret. World class Omakase for a fraction of the price. Tempted to say something that will put people off so that I can keep if for myself.

The sushi was alright but the service was rude. It also smelled like sewage inside and outside. It was very unpleasant. The food took a long time to come out. They tried to charge us for a dish that we never received. When we told her she brought the correct tab and threw it on the table. I thought it would be a better experience with my friends since it had a 4.7 stars rating.

An amazing opportunity to have chef Kenji's almost undivided attention for omakase! I came on a Friday night at 8 PM and was the only party at the sushi bar. I opted for the $100 omakase and added Hokkaido scallop and Santa Barbara uni at the end. Kenji is very friendly and provided great commentary to help me appreciate what I was eating. Looking forward to coming again!

AMAZING! Everything I ate was transcendent, everyone who works here is absolutely lovely, and the vibe is very chill and inviting. I could eat here every night. Splurge on the omakase and you will die and go to heaven!!
