The mariachi is great, the food is not. Overall, it's a great place to spend a birthday dinner at due to the entertainment. You get two shows, one at 7 and at 9 of you stick around.

Do you like waiting to make an order? This is the place for you. Great food. Best Mariachi bands you are gonna find. BUT, disorganized. 1 out of the 3 times I've been here, it was horrible. After 40 minutes they still didn't take order, then admitted it would be too late to feed us before our show started. The other 2 times it was just normal slow. Great potential. Just needs more staff, or less customers.

VERY late seating. Poor service from waitress. Cold food. Was seated at balcony area and had a pillar block my view throughout the entire performance. Will not return.

Great fun and good food. 8 piece Mariachi orchestra really gets the place jumping. They remodeled everything including bathrooms which are spotless. Good, pleasant fast service always ready to get you another drink. Overall a fun party night.

The Mariachi is what made this a real good and entertaining experience. The service was bad (we had many open tables in our area), waitress was more focused on watching the mariachi play. Limited food selection for it being a Mexican restaurant. The food was not authentic in any way shape or form! Shame.... shame on them! SMH!!!!! To top it off, it's very expensive. Did I mention that the Mariachi was great!

Great place to hear awesome mariachi music. Sound systems sounds great without being to loud. I would recommend this place for birthdays and celebrations. I plan to go again. Very soon to hear the mariachi music. I think this mariachi was even better tha. The Hollywood bowl mariachi festival.

AMAZING experience!!! We took our parents here for their birthdays and the music was beautiful! Everything was perfect - food, decor, music, environment (I wish I could post videos here lol)

Went to La Fonda last night to celebrate birthdays. I made a reservation and we were seated close to the stage. Although the service was a little slow, it was understandable because it was busy. Our waiter was very nice. They announced all the names of those celebrating birthdays, gave them sombrero to wear for a photo and serenaded them.
While the opening band was excellent, they then were followed by a duo who were complete buffoons. They could not sing, their lyrics were ridiculous, and many people left while they were "performing." I am not usually one to complain but since we were charged $5 per person for the show, it was unacceptable. The mariachi finally performed and they were amazing.
It was a fun experience and despite the mishap with the entertainment, I would definitely recommend going.

The food and service were exceptional , the staff was great and more than friendly , they were very accommodating , Went today to celebrate my anniversary . Love the public announcement of our celebration. I definitely recommend La Fonda if you love live mariachi and great Mexican food.

First time visit. A great place to visit if you love Mariachi music and great food. The servers were all very nice and not too pushy. The entertainers, in our case Los Camperos, were great and one of the most famous members of the group came over to our table and asked us if we enjoyed the show and thanked us for coming. Street parking is metered and a challenge, but there is a public lot behind the restaurant that charges flat fee of $8.00, well worth it as the restaurant is not in the best of areas.
