Excellent cakes and delivery. Everyone in our company enjoyed the cakes. Definitely I will order some more. Black cherry cake is the best one.

Definitely get their red velvet cupcakes and snow capped chocolate cupcake. I also like their pies. I don't like their normal cupcakes very much because the cake can be dry.

Flaky and light croissants, my favorite in the city!! There's generally a line but it moves fairly fast. It's a small place with a little seating inside. Come early so they don't run out. Friendly and clean. I love stopping by when I'm in the area.

This is probably the best croissant out there right now. You won't miss the restaurant. Just follow the line that wraps around the building and you're there. In terms of bakeries, I've always been a Tartine fan and I prefer Arsicaults croissants over the later. Get a couple of their almond croissant and make sure your wait is worth it. You will not regret it.

Try their amazing cakes and pastries! Being Russian, I was looking for my favorite "beze" (merengues), but found much more there. It's just a heaven for the lovers of sweets. Try it, and you'll never want cupcakes and donuts again.

Amazing dessert pastries and cakes. This little nondescript brown ball was surprisingly full of chocolate rum filling, one of the yummiest treats ever. Stop in to try something from their fridge for just a couple bucks. No coffee though, and nothing but dessert. This place mostly caters and makes cakes for order.

Ukrainian bakery with delicious smetannik (sour cream and honey cake) and medovik (honey cake) available. Kiev cake (sweet and crunchy cashew cake) is also great here.
Parking is pretty tough as the lot is tiny.
The owners are extremely nice and will allow to buy half and quarter cakes. At times, some cakes be out of stock.
Cash only.

We used 'Le Balcon Bakery' for our July wedding and worked with Hayk (their manager).
This is a Russian bakery and they are masters at what they do. In fact, most of the cakes/desserts sold in Russian markets all over LA come from Le Balcon Bakery.
We had a non-traditional wedding cake. Instead of doing 3 cake tiers, we did 3 different cakes that were served separately (each with its own flavor). Although, this bakery can do anything you desire - really.
Pros of Le Balcon:
- Easy/simple cake tasting
- Easy communication with Hayk (manager)
- Amazing price (in comparison to other Russian/American bakeries)
- Delivered cake on time & as described in original agreement.
Cons:
- Surprisingly - none.
- For non-Russian speakers, just connect with their manager, Hayk. They really do everything possible to make your day special.
P.S. When I lived in We. Ho., I used to get all the cakes & desserts for special occasions and family gatherings from this place. Good to know that the quality has not changed.
