Great food amazing flavors/ the place is very plain and basic and they don’t make much effort for service but I would go there for good food any day

This is a hole-in-the-wall family restaurant. All the food we ordered was good and authentic, but it isn't the best Peruvian food I've had. I would say though, their portions are extremely generous. You can definitely split one Lomo Saltado, their signature dish, with two adults.
The parking lot is small and can be easily full. It is also probably one of the tightest parking lots I've seen, so beware of bad drivers dinging your car. It can get really busy with multiple families waiting outside. We waited almost an hour! However, the service is great once you're in. They're fast, friendly, and the food is served quickly. Expect to pay $30-40 per person (that's if you order your own items).

Had high expectations but feel disappointed. The pescado sudado is way too salty and the hyped lomo saltado is just okay.

Waited about 45 min to dine it– ain't worth the wait. When we asked the staff how long the wait would be, she told us 10 min (2 tables ahead of us) but it ended up being 45. No waiting area or alert system, you're gonna have to wait around on the lot in the sun. And obviously you shouldn't be expecting all that bc you're coming here for the food, not service ambience whatever.
Food is good and price is great but yea won't wait that long again.

This is a really great spot for a super tasty meal. Even if you've never tried Peruvian food you will enjoy the food here. Tried other Peruvian restaurants and my taste buds favor Mario's. Parking is a bit of a challenge but worth the effort. They have takeout which is just as good which you might consider cause there is wait to dine in. But don't let those obstacles stop you from enjoying Peruvian food at Mario's. I highly recommend this place. Enjoy and PEACE ✌️

TEN STARS - the food is incredibly tasty, the prices are very affordable, and the portions are enormous. What more do you want? Ok if you want ambiance and vibes maybe not, Mario’s may get the award for least Instagramable restaurant in the city, and the waiting area is a disgusting parking lot, but who cares. This place rocks.
Most Peruvian places give you a morsel of ceviche for $20. Mario’s gives you the whole fish. Ceviche lovers will be tempted to get the ceviche mixto, but trust me, you’re gonna end up loving the fish the best and wishing there was more of it. Do yourself a favor and get the ceviche pescado.
The lomo, chaufa, and tallarín dishes are all fire, with your protein of choice. It’s basically just any meat served on either fries, rice, or noodles and you really can’t go wrong here. The deep fried seafood dishes are also guaranteed to bang.
Get the Parihuela soup. Get it. Do it. If you’re new to Peruvian food you’ve probably never had this decadent seafood stew and you need to try it. It’s kinda like cioppino, pero spiiiicy.
My only knock against Mario’s is they don’t serve beer or any alcoholic beverages. It’s still hands down my favorite restaurant in LA, and still gets as many starts as I am legally allowed to give, but boy would I love to knock back a couple Cusqueños with my Mario’s. They do have the authentic Peruvian Inca Cola if you want something to drink that made it’s way from Peru.

Ok so Mario's is by far one of the best Peruvian food around ????. Mamitas in Glendale and Rosty in Highland Park have lost there touch. Good portions are served here... price a bit up there, but you pay for what u get. 3 people 1 plate each 2 sodas and a horchata. Nice warm bread no dessert for a total $79 left the $100 flat. Food was good ???? I would go there again for Peruvian food ???? there was a 15 min wait... and parking is limited ????♂️

This place is soooo good. The lomo
Saltado is our favorite as well as the Marisco saltado. The spicy green sauce is also the perfect! They have limited dine in again and I can’t wait to eat in the restaurant again!

Mario's holds a special place in my heart. Always good food. Pretty good environment. 9/10 you will get the tastiest and most tender meat.
Always order the Lomo Saltado. Also ordered this time the Camarron Al Ajo. I would recommend these two together. So worth it. Steak and shrimp.
I drive 40 minutes to get this food, worth it.

Hands down the best meal of thr trip. There was no way I was gonna be in LA not eat there. My family was so happy. And so was I, perfection doesn't change.
