can’t count the amount of times i’ve been here. best coffee in la. perfect roasts, pulls and pours. best beans to take home for pour overs/espressos. the employees are wonderful all around. will come here till i die.

Great coffee, nice pastries. Only downside is it’s 1 register. So the line gets really long. Not sure if it’s on purpose or not with “Line hype”. I’ve seen it past the cedar sinai building. It does move somewhat fast, but standing still, even a snail moves fast. Just don’t go on Wednesday mornings.

This cute café on Hillhurst is buzzing with regulars waiting serenely for that first delicious sip of drip.
The staff is super helpful so don’t worry if you don’t know what to order they’ll guide you to the perfect drink for you!

one of the best cafes i’ve ever been to! heard great thing from this place but was blown away by the flat white. you could really taste the floral/fruity notes and i could not stop thinking about this place. must go everytime i’m in the area!!
the spinach pastry was also solid and would try again.

As I moved to LA and keep coming back to Maru Los Feliz, the great impression from my first visit started to disappear. The problem: there is always a line, and sometimes the coffee feels rushed.
In the morning, there could be a long line of a couple dozen cyclists at the shop, causing some commotion even rowdiness; even in the afternoon, people would line up at Maru as if it's cool to wait in the sun for a cup of Maru coffee. When I did stay, sometimes the coffee came out a bit too casual, not bad, neither perfect. The whole experience might fit the vibe of the neighborhood, but not my standard.

Fantastic coffee experience at Maru Coffee. I've been wanting to check out Maru for a while and finally made it during a trip to LA.
The small sunny shop in Los Feliz is still take-out only, but I'm super impressed by the way Maru makes even grab-and-go a grand ritual. The service is amicable yet professional, every order is served with a tray carrying the drinks at the window and it always looks perfect. A lot of efforts are made into the small details and I really appreciate that.
I decided to get some beans to take back home and it turns out I get a free drink (literally any drink) with each bag, so I tried their signature espresso tonic. The bubbly, energy infused drink is wonderful, just wonderful for this beautiful sunny afternoon.
Very memorable experience and I'll sure be back next time in town.

Very popular cafe in noho. There was a long line when we visited on Saturday and we waited for like 20-30mins but it was worth it! My favorite is matcha latte with oat milk.

Update: Cream Top is the way to go. Really liked the cold foam on top and the coffee was very smooth.
Checked this place out due to the many positive reviews. I usually like my drinks sweet - was told the sweetest thing they served was the Vanilla Latte (I asked for extra sweet).
It tasted more like cold milk to me, very little hint of vanilla and coffee, however the drink was very smooth. I went home and added some espresso to it and that made it better.

I like this place so much!! Their coffee and service are so great! I order cream top and it’s really good. Highly recommended
