Nownifnyou want some good southern home style type of food you have to try this place. I had the chicken and waffles and I can say I liked it better than Roscoe places. This food reminded me of my mo5hers cooking. Everything was cooked and prepared fresh. Trust me on this one that you won't be disappointed.

The food was really just ok nothing exceptional, but the service was terrible and the server was very rude. My first time going was on my Birthday and that will be my last time ever eating there. They gave us our check before we received the food and drinks. Smh

Would be 5 stars if the service was better. Last visit it took them 10 minutes to seat me and the entire section in the rear of the restaurant was available. Then, once seated I waited longer to receive a menu and thsts just not going to get it. The food is very good and cooked to your specifications....but the service needs to improve for this place to get 5 stars.

I had the catfish, eggs and grits with a side of toast. Food was good, hot and priced reasonably. My husband had the chicken and waffles and he devoured it so I guess it was good lol. The place is small but clean and the waitresses were all nice. You have to pay before you get your food which didn’t bother me.

I always go for their breakfast plate of catfish grits eggs and toast or sometimes just for a slice or two of their excellent coconut pineapple cake. Very friendly and welcoming staff... Weekends can get really busy but being patient pays off... Any amount of wait time is well worth it...

M’Dears is a great place to get breakfast specially the waffles. Good service overall and the food tastes great! Keep up the good work M’Dears!

M'Dears is a small, quaint Bistro and Bakery with very little seating and street parking only. So you will most likely have to search for a parking space and then wait for a table. But once inside and seated, your patience will be rewarded by some of the best soul food and desserts this side of grandma's house. This ain't fast food, but it certainly is good food. So if you're not in a hurry, just slow down, relax and enjoy.

Sweetest people in the kitchen and running the place. I will say, I prefer my food with a little more seasoning. It was still cooked well and digestible! I enjoyed the New Orleans Hurricane. Even the other guests with me agreed that more seasoning is definitely needed. A quaint place with good music, though!

Very quaint spot. The service and the food were phenomenal. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Christen was our server. She was great! Prices for the amount and quality of food is on point! There was about a 10 minute wait. Not bad at all for a Sunday afternoon. We will absolutely be back.
