Yesterday I ordered a crazy toast, it didn't have any flavor, I had to season it with what I had in the house, they don't give lemon, before it was delicious but now the memory only remains.

Was this place good? Was this place worth my 25 dollars for myself? Let me answer that for you…it was worth every penny!!! It was worth my trip, probably the best sea food I’ve had in a while! And I’m Mexican down to the east end of the border. So I know Mexican food when I see, smell, eat and this was by far! Ufff #fire!!! Aside from the fact that you can have your own beverage music! It’s great! Vengan a comer gente! GRACIAS!! ????????

Honestly may be some of the best seafood I’ve ever had and it is for sure the best mariscos. The smoked fish taco is absolutely outstanding. I was blown away by the quality of the meat and the flavors that I experienced. Everything was just so well thought out and prepared. I am so glad I visited. The coctel de camarones is incredible as well. Please go visit you won’t regret it.

Very fast and kind service! It was $9 for 3 OG fish tacos. It came with a few chips and they also gave a free cup of soup. Presentation is great. I accidentally spilled hot soup on my hand while grabbing my order and ended up forgetting my condiments while pacing away out of embarrassment. ???? Love to return to try out more items!
note: they are actually located right next to the San Diego River in front of the Food 4 Less and Chick-Fil-A, I think their location posted on Google Maps is outdated.

I ordered the og taco, grilled shrimp taco, and spicy grilled shrimp taco. My roommate order the fish ceviche. We both enjoyed our food. Well seasoned and filling. I was full after my first taco. Highly recommend! I have a new taco spot

ONLY get the OG fish taco!! That is what they are known for and the most worthy item on the menu! Everything else will seem over priced and not worth trying. Wanted to try the octopus tacos but they ran out. So maybe try these other than the OG fish taco.
Our order came with a mini seafood soup sample size, two 2 ounce cups. That was actually really comforting to eat. Tasty and hearty. Other tacos we tried were smoked fish taco and seafood mix. DO NOT get the smoked fish!! I am still feel yuck about eating it. It wasn't special tasting at all. Very blah!
If you're going to spend $8.00 on a taco, get the seafood mix taco since it also includes the smoked fish in it along with a grilled mussel! It will give you a sample of all their seafood variety in that one taco.
$8.00 a taco is steep for a taco truck. Never been a fan of food trucks but we were looking for Mexican food nearby and this was rated highly.
Their truck stand and condiments bar was messy and sloppy. No napkins. I felt a bit gross trying to get items from there. Get your tacos and run!
They were giving a hard time with asking for extra paper plates. We ordered 6 tacos! Two of which were $8 each. They could have at least served the pricey ones on their own plates so it isn't squished. They were not being generous.
Anyway, if I ever return, I'm only getting the OG fish taco! The taco truck is directly across from the gas station in the lot directly across the street. Had a hard time finding it.

Last weekend @safaduffa and I had a nice long weekend in Southern California. In addition to great weather, scenic drives / walks and reunions with good / new friends we ate PLENTY of good food.
I'll probably cover this trip in a series of posts but the first edition of our SoCal trip let's start with a spot @el_sheldon had been hyping up to me for literally 5-6 years @kikosplaceseafood - perhaps the best baja style seafood tacos in the United States.
Let's talk about some of the reasons why this was a major highlight:
1. The breading: the sign of a nice baja taco is that the fish or shrimp is lightly fried with a thin layer of batter, the batter itself is delicious but also gives a great bite
2. Meat: I had a fish and shrimp taco, I personally preferred the shrimp but both were extremely fresh and tasty
3. Toppings: the lightly fried seafood is covered in slaw, crema, and diced tomatoes, they also have a salsa bar to top, I love green salsa and topped each of them with it
Bonus 1: the price of food here is pretty low, $3 for fish and $4 for shrimp, on Tuesdays you can get 3 tacos for 5 bucks (it's nuts)
Bonus 2: the ambiance here is so low key, it's literally next to a gas station / liquor store but honestly this comes in super clutch, I got my diet doctor pepper and safa got a Mexican coke and it was amazing
Honestly, if you're in SoCal / San Diego this is must stop. Just go.
Kikos plz expand to ATL.

Awesome Fish taco spot in SD. Everything is made fresh and they have a good selection of tacos with specials everyday of the week. You'll also get a sample soup to eat while you wait complementary. I tried the OG Fish tacos and spicy Octopus taco. The Octopus was so good and super filling. Not chewy like Octopus can be sometimes. Loved the Habanero sauce. Try it if you like some heat ????
