We spend 3 days in San Diego and we love tacos, so we tried Lola. The food was so amazing, we came back the next day!
I also can recommend the cocktails.
Staff was super friendly too. Prices are good.
You should definitely go!!

Interesting takes on the taco standards. The mesquite steak was legit excellent and packed with flavor. The vegan squash blossom taco with beet soyrizo was a total surprise and delicious. I didn’t get much out of the Baja Fish, unfortunately.
Fun place for a drink and some snacks.

The tacos were amazing. The service is pretty slow as the bartender takes the orders and he's busy making drinks for previous orders. So expect a 15min wait time to place the order but the wait is totally worth it. I would definitely go back for the TACOS!!

The tacos and my drinks were amazing. I happened to come on a day when they were testing out their brunch menus but the tacos were dope! The carnitas taco, steak and eggs taco and the mushroom taco were so flavorful. I wish I had time to visit again. The palomita drink was refreshing and well balanced too.

This sums it up, but let’s break it down.
Service
Staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel like I get my food very quickly.
Food
I haven’t tried a taco I didn’t like here, but these are my favorite menu items: fish taco, squash blossom taco, Oaxaca quesadillas. Everything else is great but I like those best. I feel like these tacos have excellent contrast in their consistency.
Drinks
I still need to try these but I hear they’re great.
Atmosphere
Clean and modern. It’s unassuming for downtown.

Super inventive veggie tacos and really delicious meat tacos and quesadilla. It was really nice to have multiple delicious options for my friend who is vegetarian and really good meat options as well. Under $15 per person for 3 tacos or for 3 meat quesadilla.
Cauliflower was citrusy with spice.
Mushroom was Smokey with spice
Squash blossom was fried with a little spice.
Steak had some nice crunchy onions and was cooked super well.
Carnitas + tomatillo was perfect combo.
My fav was the quesadilla Oaxaca with steak. The cheese on the inside was crisped so it had a nice crunch. Probably my favorite of them all.

Recently I visited this restaurant in the early evening for some delicious food. Staff was nice during my short stay. I ordered vegetarian tacos with various fillings. They were nicely presented and spiced well. I came to this place, because it‘s named in the Guide Michelin and I would return. I‘d only wish, that they would offer more different veggie tacos, but this is just my personal opinion.

Lola 55 creates some of the best tacos I've ever eaten. Each taco is crafted perfectly. The chicken is perfectly moist. The pastor is perfectly marinated. The Asada is cooked just right. And the pasilla salt topping the quesadillas is out of this world! It's no wonder they're Michelin guide recommended. They should be on every eatery guide in the country.

The rainbow cauliflower taco might just be the best taco I ever had. It was smokey, sweet and crunchy. The sauce is packed with deliciousness. The beans are extremely creamy and comforting with some pickled radish to add some zest. The roasted Brussels were pleasantly salty with crunchy toasted almonds and cotija cheese. The mesquite chicken taco was good - I thought the addition of pickles was brilliant - although I must admit it did pale in comparison to the spectacular cauliflower taco. The passion fruit agua fresca was a refreshing accompaniment to the meal. Fast friendly service in an open, airy, casual modern environment.

I got a squash blossom and the cactus/egg special. These are some of the best (and most unique) vegan/vegetarian tacos I've had! Food was fast and the chef was nice and let us wait inside before they opened because it was raining like crazy outside. The staff and waiters were also great very attentive. The plant decor is super cute. I also got some churros which were freshly fried and also excellent!
