Decent food and a great atmosphere. For the price point the shrimp were a bit overdone. Otherwise, the scallops, lobster, wedge salad, and apps were all delicious.

Great atmosphere, great view, great service. Good food, and if you happen to stop by on a Wednesday it's half off wine! If you're staying at the hotel (Marriot Marquis) it's a no brainer. . . .if you're not and you're in the area also recommended. I would stick to the seafood, and ribs ???? very good. Pricey? Yes, but what do you expect from a great location and awesome service. It's worth the price and I would def return when in town.

We went late on a weekday, around 8:40 pm, and decided to grab a few appetizers and drinks at the bar. This place is fantastic!! The staff was super friendly. They accommodated us and didn’t make us feel rushed at all, even though we were there close to closing. Our bartender walked us through the drinks and menu and gave us some great recommendations. He also let us sample the pineapple used for the famous Pineapple Martini, which is soaked in vodka for two weeks before being used in their drinks! ???? I would highly recommend the Pineapple ???? Martini, I literally could only drink one! All of the food was fabulous, and I would say that the egg rolls were my favorite out of all that we tried. We will be going back for sure!

One of my favorite restaurants when I visit San Diego. Facing the Harbour
filled with yachts of every description, with an elegant yet California feel to it.
I watched the staff carefully lay out the linens, crystal and China with care.
Staff was busy but attentive and genuinely friendly. Food is always exquisitely
prepared and presented. I had a whitefish encrusted with macadamia nuts
served with perfectly cooked asparagus ( and a good glass of Rose').
My partner had the Filet Mignon. It was cooked medium rare (melt in your mouth),
with bock choy and teriyaki scalloped potatoes. Delicious.
Try the Pineapple Upside Cake with a scoop of ice cream for desert....

The food is great, the drinks are great, you will leave feeling satisfied but your wallet will leave feeling empty. We ate there mid afternoon during comic con and they seated us within 20 minutes, but we also sat for long periods of time. We were all really happy with what we ordered, but the price seems higher than what it was worth. I think the cheapest entree was $48.

This was my first time visiting Roy's and will definitely not be my last. The service is unparalleled! Starting with getting a cool glass of water as soon as you sit down and it being refilled constantly without asking. The server was amazing letting us know how long the desert was taking that night in case we wanted to order it, so we would not wait too long after our entree, the busser offered us coffee as well and we gladly ordered it with our desert. The food was incredible definitely worth your penny, every single staff member was very attentive, I would highly recommend this restaurant, we made reservations for 7:30 and it was the perfect time to see the sun set down in the marina. 10/10. ????????????????????
The only small downside was that the Marriot parking lot was full (which is not their fault of course) and we ended up parking in the seaport village parking lot, the hostess gladly offered us a validated ticket anyways in case they could honor it, but we ended up shopping at seaport village and getting validation in one of their stores.

Came to celebrate my birthday here after seeing some of the phenomenal reviews and a recommendation from family. Starting with the appetizer, we ordered the ahi roll which came in six slices. The flavor was very light with some mild spice when you hit the center of the roll. A perfect way to get your taste buds prepped for your main course. I opted for the 8 oz filet after multiple recommendations and was not disappointed. Very tender and melts in your mouth with every bite. The juices complimenting the meat gave a perfect mixture of flavor that makes you want to continue eating this delightful entree. The scalloped potatoes were very thinly cut and lots of cheese flavor, slightly overpowering. There was a vegetable medley to help clear your palate in between bites as well.

My girlfriend ordered the salmon which is by far one of the best salmon dishes. I was able to experience. Very rich in flavor and the fish causes your salivary glands to overflow as you wait for your next bite. The salmon came paired with rice, nothing too amazing but just a standard side option when pairing with seafood.

Lastly, we come to the dessert. It was enough for four people to share and not being a huge cake person. I was surprised by the balance of flavor in the dish. It wasn't too sweet, which I usually don't like due to sensitive teeth, but I was able to eat all of the cake and ice cream that I served onto my plate. There was enough to cover the four people at our table and have everybody feel satisfied.

Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience. Dress code is and if I were to have any criticisms it wouldn't be anything with the food at the restaurant, but rather the parking and location of the restaurant as it is Bayside and not easily accessible without a decent walk. Would absolutely come here again for a special occasion.

This was a really surreal experience. I've been to Roy's before, and nothing really prepared me for this. Our server offered us a prix fixe menu, and said to ignore the limited hours. I ordered the Lobster bisque, Roy's Classic Combo, and the Chocolate Torte. The Lobster Bisque was excellent, but everything went awry after that. Two of the three entrees arrived, and the server placed the plates and just said "enjoy" as she walked away. My coworker whose plate had not arrived told us to just start eating. My other coworker offered to share her dish while we waited for the other, but as time passed, it never arrived. No one even came by for us to ask about it. The two dishes that did arrive turned out to be lukewarm at best. We eventually got the server's attention, and she took one plate back and said she'd check on the other. Over 45 minutes had passed since we finished our appetizers now, and I was hungry, so I just ate my food. It took almost an hour and a half to finally get everything settled for the table.

The butterfish was pretty good. It was not hot but cooked well. The braised short rib was a little overcooked, but it was fine. Portions, as you can see, for the combo were pretty small. I could definitely have had two of these.

The food wasn't hot, the service was pretty bad, but I would attribute this to staffing issues. I think they were really understaffed. I would recommend that y'all check it out if you're interested. The service industry needs some post-covid support.

Just ok. I get it. Others love this place. The food is good and service ok but overall, at lot of hype and quite pricey. If there was a significant difference in seafood quality or service, sure, but for us, just ok when cut through to the core. Our experience was that the service was rushed. It was not individualized. It wasn't busy either. Our special occasion which they made a big deal about on the phone when we reserved was completely missed. And the plating a bit messy and sloppy.

The highlight? The Mai Tai. Delightful.

This place is Truly amazing. The server was amazing, the food was incredible. I never had sushi that tasted like surf and turf at the same time. Sounds strange but it came out amazing. Highly recommend!
